Digital Sales Data says there's only about 70 sales between the three of them  :o

11. Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You

A more interesting chart battle incoming :cheer:

Still no sign of the 59p discount making any difference for Steps. :(

They're not advertised for some reason. The discounts often don't make much difference if they're not in the batch.

16. Jason Derulo - Swalla (feat. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign)

24. Anton Powers & Pixie Lott - Baby

31. Royal Blood - Lights Out

32. G-Eazy & Kehlani - Good Life

38. Jennifer Hudson - Remember Me

57. French Montana - Unforgettable (feat. Swae Lee)

60. Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe

61. Kendrick Lamar - DNA.

69. Kiiara - Whippin (feat. Felix Snow)

94. Noah Cyrus - Stay Together

152. John Gibbons - P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)

I've an awful feeling that Ed will return to #1 this week.

Let's hope that by some miracle, they pull the single version from sale and make the version on the album "album only" :D that'll keep him top 5 easily but not number 1!

I just did some quick calculations and I don't want to get anyone too excited, but I THINK Clean Bandit are a few hundred sales ahead!!

Permission to ignore the first part of your sentence? :w00t:

Here's what I did...

Symphony: 458,508 x 1.23 = 563,965 est. daily streams

563,965 / 150 = 3,760 stream sales

Shape Of You: 559,152 x 1.23 = 687,757 est. daily streams

687,757 / 150 = 4,585 stream sales

Symphony: 3,911 x 1.13 = 4,419 est. daily sales

Shape Of You : 2,335 x 1.13 = 2,639 est. daily sales

Symphony: 3,760 + 4,419 = 8,179

Shape Of You: 4,585 + 2,639 = 7,224

...meaning Symphony is estimated to be around 900 sales ahead today

Pleasantly surprised to see Jason Derulo & co. getting some impact this week. Any obvious reason for this sudden burst?

Increased airplay!

Does that take into account all versions of SOY on sale or just the top version? Where did you get the daily sales estimate for them from?? Is it just based on current levels?

It's also discounted! Not sure if this is the first week or not though!

I'm surprised Harry has held on to iTunes number 1 for this long. With the way it seemed like Clean Bandit were closing the gap, I really thought he'd be off by now! Glad it's not the case though. *.* (although I'd like to see Clean Bandit #1 too, especially over Shape of Poo)

1. It's factoring in all versions on both Spotify and iTunes.

2. The Spotify data is from the Spotify website and the iTunes data is from digitalsalesdata.com, which is a relatively accurate representation of iTunes sales give or take around 50 copies.

3. I've just used the data we've got at the moment, obviously over the course of a week there'll be different sales but judging by today's sales indicator Clean Bandit at #1 right now :D

I've been keeping a track of the sales over the course of the week as I always do, it does look as though Clean Bandit are going to be #1 in the midweeks right now, but it'll be close!

Cool - fingers crossed!

Where did you get the multipliers of +23% for Spotify --> overall streaming and +13% for iTunes --> overall sales? Is that based on current market share?

There was a deficit of around 700 (per day) for “Symphony” last week in the mids - I doubt a lot has changed too much unfortunately. “Symphony” does at least look like it'll get to #2 this week though (although I have heard that the video for “Galway Girl” has been filmed)..

I used to do a daily top 40 update (still do a few times a week but don't post it) and always reflected my figures against the end of week figures, therefore I was able to adjust the multipliers as time went on to make my estimations as accurate as possible :D

The x1.23 and x1.13 multipliers are relatively accurate as of the start of March :D

Just been playlisted by Capital and more people catching onto it as the warmer months come up? Surprised neither R1 or 1Xtra have picked it up though.
