She won't be releasing the video when her friend just died

actually i have to say- i'm wondering if she might release it as a tribute to her (or a video for grigio girls instead). i have always thought of the cure to mean quite a lot about friendship and love anyway <3

It would be a beautiful tribute. Sonja was unable to "find the Cure" for her cancer but Gaga's love for her will always remain.

<3333. the more i think about the lyrics, the more i think it's a wonderful tribute

That would be perfect, I can easily see her doing that
Really? 19 is a fantastic chart position for her and IMO has saved her career.

I don't know about saved her career, but it at the very least puts her in good stead to actually get radio playlistings with whatever she comes up with next.

#4 on UK airplay charts. I never thought this support would happen for her again. Incredible.

Also slaying in Australia and Canada.

!!

Clever of her and her management then.

Imagine how much easier it will be to start an album campaign of big GaGa songs following this revival!

Still needs to find a way to revive haself in USA though. You cna't just release Applause, G.U.Y, Perfect Illusions, John Waynes, etc, without SERIOUSLY damaging your cred.

Applause really was a horrific misstep for her. Million Reasons was a top 5 in the US though and she seems to've gained a new audience by playing up the new good girl/stately lady persona.

The Cure will likely be one of her biggest selling singles in a while, is that correct to say?

I highly doubt that

A song that was borne out of the horrible state of the world, The Cure was released one year ago and remains even more relevant now than it was back then. Released as a standalone single and premiered at the 2017 Coachella festival (which Gaga headlined), it became a middling hit across the world. Added to the Joanne Tour, the song never had a video released but we did get the trippy lyric video posted above *_*

A year after receiving the cure, how does it fare for you now? Are you still a fan? Has it grown over time or become redundant?

Let's celebrate one year of this GORGEOUS single ~

I can't say I go back to it much, it's pretty basic and nothing more than "bop", although it was really nice to hear this sort of thing from her again after the Joanne era! It was fab live too.
