Craig that is, not Tim Farron.

You really confused me with that post, I was like 'waaait, i'm so confused'

If you want to find a homophobe, look no further than the Tories...

Just to clarify, this story relates to the current election, not the 1955 election.

But that Conservative MP is not a leader of a political party like Tim Farron is. You're the one trying to defend someone that believes having gay sex is a sin

I wish the Scottish Greens were there.

79% Labour

74% Lib Dem

73% Green

73% Sinn Féin

72% Plaid Cymru

71% SNP

35% DUP

34% Conservative

27% UKIP

23% BNP

I won't be voting Labour. They are a lost cause in Scotland at the moment. The SNP have done too much right and too little wrong during their 10 years in power, and prove to be a more effective opposition for me to switch my vote.

It's hard during the Corbyn era when you actually have some quite hard-left opinions (although I also score highly with socially liberal centrist parties) but, at the same time, you're trying to be pragmatic. It's hard to dismiss a false prophet who is on course for failure (it's just a question of how spectacularly) without dismissing his ideas.

Er, I'm not for the simple reason that Tim Farron clearly does not think gay sex is a sin. Have you looked at his voting record yet?

That's how I ended up giving them my list vote in 2011. I just couldn't deny that for once a party had kept the majority of their pledges. Ignoring the unionists screeching about the constitution and 'get on with the day job', they've continued delivering on manifesto pledges

Yes he does and you know it. Tim Farron has avoided the question so many times, it's undeniable what he really thinks. Thank God I'm not a Bremainer because I would literally have no-one to vote for.

Greens say hai.

Tim handled it poorly but I'm not concerned because his record is absolutely solid on this and that matters far more than his personal beliefs. How someone acts is far more important and May continually shows that on LGBT and general equality issues she simply cannot be trusted.

OK, let's try this. Vladimir Putin is rightly criticised for supporting legislation that outlaws promoting homosexuality. However, older members may remember Section 28. That was a piece of legislation introduced by the Thatcher government which did exactly the same thing. When Labour gained power in 1997 they began the process of repealing that legislation. May voted against repealing it.

For the umpteenth time, look at his voting record.

And don't forget in 2013 Theresa May also voted in favour of the same sex marriage Act, but of course it suits you to leave that out.

Because it was government policy and she had to vote with the government

Indeed!

I also realise how contradictory using 'in power' and 'in opposition' in the same sentence is, but that's the reality when Holyrood functions as a side-chamber to the House of Commons. We've seen that with the rape clause this month. Devolution isn't a satisfactory solution and I'd like to think that even Unionists who have faith and an attachment to British identity will see this. Even Labour are pushing federalism.

Actions speak louder than words and The Witch's record is FAR worse on the matter than Tim's. Tim is pro-equality in his votes, the witch rabidly Conservative Christian. This is a secular country, though the Conservative lot - big C - would have you NOT believe that in a desperate attempt to continue controlling us.

I bet if Tim Farron wasn't an MP for the Liberal Democrat party, he probably would have voted against any equality for gay people. The voting demographic for the Lib Dems would never forgive him, just look at what happened after the Lib Dem lies about the tuition fees.

I think only a fully federal country, like a mini-EU, with each part having FULL autonomy and only defence, etc, dealt with at Parliament, is the way forward.
Unlike Scottish nationalists, I live in the present not the past. Tim Farron in 2017 failed to give a clear answer on whether he thought gay sex is a sin, if he was the leader of the BNP party then I wouldn't expect anything different but as the leader of the Liberal Democrats, that is seriously shocking.

A lot of these equality votes were votes of conscience, so he could do what he felt.

The Witch most certainly did!

You're missing the point, just like a true Tory, Tim Farron has a long record of voting for LGBT rights.Theresa May doesn't. Can you give a single example of Tim Farron voting against LGBT rights?

Then why didn't Tim Farron just immediately say no he does not think gay sex is a sin. It's taken a general election coming up for him to backtrack on what he really believes.
