The lead single from the latest album vs a random song released straight after the latest album. Which do you prefer? Would you rather The Cure had been the album's lead single or is THE KEY CHANGE too undeniable?

I can kinda see which way this will go :kink: but regardless, my vote goes to PERFECT ILLUSION :o Maybe that will change over time but I doubt it, PI has cemented itself as a GAGACLASSIC for me with it being played on nights out and being blasted in my car ad infinitum etc.

 

The Cure I really like but it hasn't had THAT HUGE connection with me yet but i'll give it time ~

Chose PI because it had a true WTF factor at first. The Cure is more of a traditional pop hit (and a good one)

It's like choosing between two babies :lol: I love both but I'm gonna go with Perfect Illusion as I still feel a kind of MAGIC when I hear it, what a beauty <3 The Cure is a bop though!

The Cure, no contest. Perfect Illusion was fine, up until the key change where it just went downhill.

I love both in their own way too but it has to be PI. It was a moment in her career where she just thought f*** it and did what she wanted and it fits her so well. The Cure is of course a bop and I love that she's back to pop like that but Perfect Illusion was something so different for both Gaga and the charts but it still fit her so well. I agree with Bal that it's one of those songs that's such a moment when it comes on when out or when with people in the car or at pres, stuff like that *.*

Perfect Illusion is one of her worst singles for me, I tried so hard to like it...but...it sounded even worse in time.

Perfect Illusion was a nice track and I loved the whole Joanne album too but Ths Cure is the first time I've been properly excited by a Gaga track since Do What U Want! I think this has the potential to be in her top three tracks ever for me so had to go for it :heart:

PI is a repetitive mess. She just repeats the same line oover and ooover again. The key change is just no.

 

The Cure is a pop bop and her best shot at coming back since DWYU or Gypsy.

Although in the context of the album I don't hate 'Perfect Illusion' as much as I once did and it's been growing on me. However, I'm still not that fussed by it and I actually think the key change is the worst part, it feels weird, coz you can tell there's a key change, but it doesn't feel like it changes enough. :( 'The Cure' is SO much better!

I love them both but they're too different to compare. One is a twist of trendy tropical house with one hell of a chorus but then PI is so unique and so psychedelic and unusual to anything she's done before yet it's pre-chorus hits harder than it's chorus so I don't know. All in all, I have to go with PI.

The Cure for me!

Easy. The Cure

This is really easy. 'Perfect Illusion' was hugely disappointing, and whilst it grew on me, after a couple of months it has returned to 'disappointing' status. It is by no means a Gaga classic and will be seen by many as the point where she lost 'it'.

I've grown to enjoy 'Perfect Illusion' a lot more than I did initially (although not in the same way as with 'Applause' where I disliked it upon first few listens, then grew to LOVE it), but 'The Cure' wins this poll for me ^_^

I much prefer The Cure but A Million Reasons is her best song in a long time.

Omg what a tough decision. :o

 

Perfect Illusion is more 'Gaga' than The Cure but I think I'll go for The Cure as it's a bigger hit :kink:
