The Buzzjack Trending Chart

 

Taking the biggest trending songs of the week in the Official Midweek Chart, I ask you to rank your favourites to see which songs are trending well with chart fans. This thread is inspired by the recent addition of the 'Buzzjack Hype Chart' and has a similar format, but with songs that have already been released.

 

If this format becomes successful it will replace 'Track of the Week', a thread I have been running for the past year.

 

Firstly, let's look at this week's trending chart (compiled by me based on mid data). The rules are that a song is eligible for this chart if they climb to a new chart peak in the midweek chart update and don't currently have a top 10 peak. There is also a limit of two songs per artist to prevent album takeovers in the chart.

I'm all for this, but it could get a little confusing between the Buzzjack Hype Chart, but I think you should definitely go with it.

 

Can I suggest for next week both charts have the same kind of format, (as in how you rate your Top 10).

 

I think the way this Trending Chart has been set up is probably the better way as it's most similar to the Reshuffle Chart that I run.

Not really. Logistically it should run the same way to keep everything running like clockwork, but it's concept as Dan explained above is quite different as it includes non-Top 10 singles. So in theory there should never be a song featuring on both charts in the same week! :lol:
