I can't take music like this seriously

Top 10 next week! This is awesome.

I was expecting a summer banger from this J Hus song but sadly it falls a bit flat :(

Can't believe J HUS is so high! :o

This sounds like something I should hate but it's a bit of a guilty pleasure

Biography

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor from Toronto, Ontario. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape Room for Improvement. He would go onto release two further independent projects, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.

Drake released his debut studio album Thank Me Later in 2010, which debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases were 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, with certifications of quadruple and triple platinum respectively in the U.S., with the former also earning him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. They were followed by two mixtapes, with the trap-influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late, and a collaboration with Future for What a Time to Be Alive, in 2015. The former was certified double platinum in the U.S..

Drake released his fourth album, Views, in 2016, breaking several chart records in the process. The dancehall-influenced Views sat atop the Billboard 200 for ten nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a solo male to do so in over 10 years. Its single "One Dance" topped the chart in several countries, including the U.S., the UK and Canada, where it became his first number-one single as the lead artist. This saw Drake leading the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously for eight weeks, coming close to a record held by Whitney Houston. It achieved quadruple platinum status in the U.S., and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release.

Alongside his Grammy Award win, Drake has won three Juno Awards and six BET Awards. He has the most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts.

Drake had developed into other ventures, including his OVO Sound record label with Noah "40" Shebib, in early 2012. Drake also acts as a producer, producing under the pseudonym of Champagne Papi. Using the the "OVO" moniker, Drake has also marketed a clothing line, as well as having his own channel on Beats 1. He is also currently acting as the global ambassador for NBA franchise, the Toronto Raptors. - Wikipedia

Biography

Harry Edward Styles (born 1 February 1994) is an English singer and songwriter. He is known as a member of the pop rock band One Direction. He made his debut as a singer with his band White Eskimo, who performed locally in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. In 2010, Styles auditioned as a solo artist for the British television series The X Factor. After being eliminated as a solo performer, Styles was brought back into the competition, along with four other contestants, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, to form One Direction.

Styles and his bandmates have released the albums Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), Four (2014), and Made in the A.M. (2015). They have also performed on two worldwide tours and won several awards, including five Brit Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. In addition to singing, Styles has also appeared in television and film, including the Nickelodeon series iCarly and the concert film One Direction: This Is Us.

On 23 June 2016 it was reported by Billboard that Styles had signed a 3-album solo recording deal with Columbia Records, the same label behind One Direction. Styles will make his feature film acting debut in the war drama Dunkirk in July 2017. His self-titled debut album is set to be released on 12 May 2017. - Wikipedia

Same! It's the exact sort of song I should absolutely hate, but it's kind of a jam tbh, same with unforgettable.

Edited May 12, 20179 yr by BridgeCow

I think I've decided I like Sign Of The Times. If it's a vain attempt to knock off a certain sound for a shot at wider artistic validity from "serious" music critics, it's a damn good one.

Pleased French Montana has made the top ten, not normally my kind of thing, but such a lush song.

Any bets on Sign of the Times being the lowest selling #1 of 2017?

'Sign Of The Times' is such a triumphant debut single for Harry. Really need to listen to his album (as well as Paramore and Kendrick!)

:cheer: First time in how many weeks Ed isn't top of either chart?

Hopefully this can get a bit of a rebound next week with the album's release!

Wow at LP getting a Top 20 album despite LOY not taking off!

I can see it being top5 again next week
