Hey! Hey! Hayayayao! Oh, turns out this isn't Eurofest in Belarus but actually Buzzjackfestivalen! Welcome! :cheer:

This is the fifth edition of the competition, last hosted in the summer of 2015 when Mulgracia were victorious with Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt's 'Going Home'. It is based on the format of Melodifestivalen which consists of four heats, a second chance round ('Andra Chansen') and ultimately the grand final.

SCHEDULE

The full schedule for Buzzjackfestivalen V is as follows:

Confirmations: 27th May - 1st June (Ramrynia)
Heats Voting: 2nd June - 7th June (Aeroche, Daehun, Ramrynia, République d'Ashton)
Heats Results: 8th June (Aeroche, Daehun, Ramrynia, République d'Ashton)
Andra Chansen Voting: 8th June - 12th June (Bignia-Zaragovina)
Andra Chansen Results: 13th June (Bignia-Zaragovina)
Final Voting: 13th June - 17th June (République d'Ashton)
Final Results: 18th June (République d'Ashton)

RULES

So what can you enter into this festival? The standard BJSC rules apply along with the following special rules:
  • Songs must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length. They can be shorter if you wish, but not a second over 3:00. The video can be longer than 3 minutes, as long as the song itself is 3:00 or shorter. You can also enter a song longer than 3 minutes if you are willing to edit it down for the purposes of the competition. There will be a notes section in the confirmation form for you to clarify why your song fits this rule if it may be unclear to us.
  • No Eurovision or Junior Eurovision songs are allowed, nor are any songs that have competed in national finals for either of these competitions. Of course Eurovision and national final artists are allowed, but not with the song(s) they entered those competitions with.
The normal veto framework is not used for this spin-off as the veto is more relaxed. However moderators do reserve the right to prevent certain songs from competing if they are way too well-known. For example, any artists or songs that hit 25 point offences in the standard veto framework are likely to be disallowed, and even *I* wouldn't be that silly!

CONFIRMATION

To begin with, 28 countries will be allowed to confirm participation in the contest. 5 of these slots will be taken up by the hosts, leaving 23 open places. Once all 28 spots are filled, we will allow further countries to enter as long as they are in multiples of 4. This will keep the 4 heats equal in number.

You can confirm your entry by filling out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/lPMmEnwLw5kw3bVf1

Confirmations will close at 23:59 BST on June 1st. In the event we don't have a multiple of 4 at this time, we may allow late confirmations only to round it up to a multiple of 4. Changes to your confirmed entry will not be accepted after this deadline.

Enjoy! :cheer:

Wits so special about Ramrynia that you're no in italics? :P

Italics was to symbolise confirmed countries (hosts) that hadn't actually submitted an entry yet, just so I didn't confuse myself when comparing the spreadsheet and the list in here! :kink:
