Hardly. Beyonce shows just as much in her stage outfits and she's never branded a hooker.

She is actually, but that's wrong as well.

I mean, I know people might have their own views on them generally, but in this context the point is that Little Mix were dressed like Little Mix, which is exactly what they should have done.

I doubt that very much ngl

I do think maybe some form of trance may come back in the future, although I think it would be more on the chilled or minimal end of the scale of the genre given how energetic dance is not really popular these days.

Realistically I am still hoping Marshmello style dance may become a chart trend eventually, he does use quite a bit of Eurodance style sounds in a lot of his songs which I like.

I don't think Beyoncé and Little Mix really share the same fanbase anymore, but that's beside the point. People can dress how they like!

People can dress how they like but it showed a lack of class in my opinion (and also others thought the same given the News coverage afterwards) - what was inappropriate was Jesy was the only one not covered up for the closing song, sometimes you have to sense the mood of the occasion and show some respect!

I don't get how showing a bit of extra flesh could be disrespectful though  the news coverage is mostly coming from the usual sexist publications like the Daily Mail, other publications like the Huffington Post have called it a message of "defiance". It's nothing to do with respect, it's just an outfit, and while people are entitled to their opinions, I'm much more appreciative of the fact they bothered to show up and ensure their loyal fanbase tuned in and hopefully donated.

People died and the concert was to help victims and their family by raising money, which a lot of artists did by putting together a spectacular show and giving up their time to stand in solidarity and perform in defiance against groups that want our lives to freeze in terror, yet still people's big issue is what women wear and don't wear :drama:

The fact they performed Wings sums it up perfectly, it wasn't necessarily all about the solemn sadness and never being happy again, it was about paying tribute to what happened in a happy way by having a fun time at a concert and putting across the message and we can't stop living and stop being ourselves over what's happened.

Why is vengaboys boom boom boom number 37 on iTunes ?

As stated MULTIPLE TIMES in the thread already, "there's a viral video of someone driving round late at night blasting it in their car and everyone in the street starts dancing." :P

There's a meme that's like the terrorists want us to be in turmoil but then it's someone playing that song and filming as the car goes down the street, it's silly but funny

Why are vengaboys back?0

Was thinking the same Dan  :jameela:

i was actually SO proud of little mix when i saw their outfits, it's the exact kind of defiance we need, they looked absolutely stunning. let's stop with the "little clothes = whore" thing because it's so old fashioned. let's stop attacking woman for their clothes and maybe appreciate self love some more??

!! This.

Actually a bit disgusting how people are Little Mix to hookers for completely acceptable outfits, it's sad that in 2017 some still objectify women for being proud of their bodies.

There once was a time when showing your ankles was raunchy

Aside from the stuff that has been discussed about what they were wearing possibly being inappropriate at a serious concert, is it really appropriate for Little Mix to be raunchy at all though, I assume a lot of their fans are children below the age of 12. Surely their act should bear this in mind and bear in mind more of the target audience?

It's not like there's a job description and person specification for 'popstar' that includes 'does not dress provocatively'.

Isn't half the reason 12 year olds are fans because they start going through a rebellious phase at that age?

Can you tell me the negative effects of Little Mix's outfits on kids? Cause I really can't think of any, it's not like they're all walking round the streets dressed identically...

So? why can't kids see "raunchy" outfits? this kind of perception is what's damaging... not a bit of flesh
