And to think I can clearly remember mr Brightside being a huge summer hit!

This album is really good! I'm looking forward to listening to it more, so I can pick out favourites! But overall, I'm ecstatic with it!
I'm really enjoying this so far, much more than I did Battle Born! Can't beat the singles though, The Man & Run For Cover are clearly on a level above most of the rest of the album. Out Of My Mind & The Calling are also really really great

This album is really good. 'The Man' has really grown on me to the point it's actually one of my fave singles by them. It's so anthemic and the meaning behind the song is so cute! Some Kind of Love has grown on me big time too. However, I'd have preferred it as a closer I think!

My album ranking is as follows:

08.0 Wonderful Wonderful

10.0 The Man

07.5 The Rut

08.0 Life To Come

11.0 Run For Cover

10.0 Tyson vs. Douglas

08.5 Some Kind of Love

07.5 Out of My Mind

08.0 The Calling

07.0 Have All the Songs Been Written?

07.0 Money On Straight

Not a single skip-worthy song. I imagine 'The Rut' and 'Tyson vs. Douglas' will be singles/receive videos at least, at some point.

'The Rut' has been appearing on some new music playlists which could possibly be a sign of it being a future single.

The Killers played a bunch of their hits & I think The Man at the Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final yesterday, I watched some of their performance on TV and it looked amazing  Their show was well received too, with a load of their songs entering the Australian iTunes Top 100

03. Mr Brightside (and 71)

24. The Man

25. Somebody Told Me

29. When You Were Young (and 94)

46. Human

59. Run For Cover

This sort of promotion will be wonders for both them as a band and the album, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart.

Has anyone been to see them this month? I went tonight! So many great songs - 'The Man' has secured its status alongside their classics, 'All These Things That I've Done' was fantastic with the "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" chant, and 'Mr Brightside' was such a f***ing moment!!

Too poor to do it this time :( But I'm deffo going next time. They are still yet to be beaten for me

So glad you had a great time! They always know what works in a show. Everything comes alive and I think it's why I love 'Battle Born' so much more than the standard Killers fan does tbh.

Have we heard the last of their xmas releases after the album release last year?
Have we heard the last of their xmas releases after the album release last year?

Not yet. It doesn’t normally come out until the beginning of December anyway! I hope it’s a really good one this year!

Yeh last year was a nice affair but more like a story than a song!

I think the xmas song will be out this Friday! :D

Well World Aids Day is on Thursday and music releases are generally released on a Friday. So it'll be out on either day.

I wish I'd got tickets for their current tour although I don't really like the majority of the current album, their back catalogue is incredible. "The Man" is amongst their worst singles to date for me, I wish they'd stop promoting it in the UK and move on!

Don't expect a Christmas song this year

Back in September they said

Currently in Australia to perform at the AFL Grand Final, The Killers have revealed they are stepping away from the “Christmas song game”, after releasing an album of Yuletide tracks last year.

Speaking on Channel 10‘s The Project last night, frontman Brandon Flowers said, “We are finished with the Christmas song game, but we’re proud of what we did. We did 11 songs.”

Flowers said that while the band won’t be releasing any more Christmas music, they’ve planning on releasing their one (and only) Christmas album Don’t Waste Your Wishes on vinyl at some point.

“We didn’t release it on vinyl. We’re looking forward to doing a release of that on vinyl,” he said.

Ack that's sad as I usually love adding their track to my playlist each year - won't be the same. Looking forward to the vinyl release!!

I have had the time over Christmas to listen to the album properly.

I am really impressed with the album, its very solid and full of great catchy songs.

Life To Come is the stand out song for me but i really cant say there is any weak songs on the album.

Wonderful Wonderful is much much stronger and more together than Battle Born and Brandons last solo album.

I really liked Shot at the Night which was part of the Direct Hits release and for me Wonderful Wonderful has followed on from that sound which i love.
