Unreal for Manchester City, that is some accomplisment.

Liverpool were fantastic today genuinely could have scored 10.

Gabriel Jesus scoring in the last minute to give Man City 100 points sums up how this season has felt since around December, deflating is the best word to describe it. It was only the relegation battle that kept things alive for me but still on the positive side Man United have made progress in the league compared to last season in both points and position.

Everyone will start on a level playing field in August, there wont be any 16, 18 or 19 point gaps for anyone come the first day of the season but I just really hope this can be a one off, it wouldn't be good for the Premier League to turn into a 2nd version of the SPL.

Really looking forward to the remaining cup finals and most of all the World Cup!

So that will be 100 points for Man City then. It will be the first time a top flight side has reached 100 points.

It's worth remembering that 100 points simply wasn't possible for most of top-flight history. That said, it's a remarkable achievement to winn all but six games in a season.

I don't think City will be as near to their points tally as they are this time. For one thing, especially during their winning sequence they had a sheer amount of luck that is unsustainable. It will be closer, but cannot see anybody but City winning it again next year at the moment. I think Liverpool likely to be the closest challengers but still a little bit behind City.

All of the promoted clubs have done really well this year too, really good to see.

Yeah Man City will rightfully be the early favourites for next season, I underestimated them before the 2017/18 season started but that was because they normally started the season well before losing form around November time. One thing that is for sure is that the teams chasing City will be better next season, I even think Chelsea could come back strong next season as well.

Brighton deserve a special mention as they never really looked like they were in relegation trouble. I think they can become an established Premier League team like Bournemouth.

Can't see Chelsea being anywhere near, especially with Europa League. If Hazard stays they have a chance, but if he goes they are screwed. Looks like Willian might be off as well. Fact is they have some really good players, but they just recruited poorly in the summer. I think they will be similar to this season, probably won't lose as many games but they are a little way off a title challenging side right now for good reason.

Who knows what next season will bring, I suspect a lot will happen with who stays/goes and of course with it being World Cup year it could affect things slightly for the first couple of weeks too. Can't see past City again right now though.

I would say don't rule Chelsea out as in 16/17 they bounced back from an even worse previous season to win, but then I remembered they had no European football that season. But yes much of it will depend on who they recruit both managerially & on the pitch during the Summer.

Can't see them being anywhere near, too many poor players in their squad and doesn't seem like Roman is willing to invest the money anymore. Normally what a team completely dominates the league, they also win the following season too, so cannot see past City right now.

But Chelsea dominated last season & didn't even make the top 4 this time! In fact the last 3 champions have all missed the top 4 the next year. Not gonna happen next year of course but it seems that when a team wins they don't have the same mentality next time round, hence why there hasn't been a successful defence for nearly a decade.

Good call. But this City team is completely different imo, none of the other teams have been this far ahead of the others as City are. The Chelsea team last year were good, but they were put over the line with some truly remarkable form for half of the season. Plus at least over the past two seasons, some of the better players have left the title winning teams which does not help matters.

Contenders for Manager of the Season away from Pep would be for me:

Hughton

Wagner

Dyche

Benitez

Hodgson

They'll both get relegated I think but it will nice to see them in the Premier League and I'm sure they will cause a few surprises.

How ironic that part of the surprises that Huddersfield & Brighton caused were at our expense! The Huddersfield defeat in particular did a lot of damage.

No surprise to hear that Sam Allardyce has been sacked as Everton manager also David Moyes has left as West Ham manager.
I guess both were always just short term appointments to keep them in the league. Both teams have ambitions of breaking the Top 6 (not gonna happen) so they probably want to more progressive managers, but the problem is managers are rarely given the time they need these days. Owners and fans just get twitchy feet and then that's it.

Not entirely sure what more Everton expected Big Sam to do. They were never making the top 6 after their crap start as for the style of football, well they bought absolute dross last Summer so dream on.

See they're getting their man Marco Silva after all, terribly overrated manager on current evidence so far with not even that good a win percentage. Clubs just want an exotic named manager these days but next season we'll see what a fraud he is!

It's looking increasingly like Mikel Arteta will become Arsenal's new manager. The ArsenalFanTV guys have already said that they don't want him as manager because he didn't do enough when he was a player there and he doesn't have much managerial experience. "Arteta out" might be something that we hear a lot next season
That's a really poor appointment in my opinion, doesn't have the credentials to manage a team as big as that - should go and earn his badges in the lower leagues first!
