February 3, 20241 yr I guess at least they are even bothering - she hasn’t been signed to Universal for years. They are set to make a ton of money from the song. Of course they are bothering.
February 4, 20241 yr They are set to make a ton of money from the song. Of course they are bothering. If this is anything to go by, Universal just wants her to release a new album and wouldn't bother promoting it.
February 4, 20241 yr The problem is that one big viral hit doesn't guarantee anything further. Kate Bush had MASSIVE success with RUTH but The Whole Story didn't benefit for long (if much at all). Edited February 4, 20241 yr by Sour Candy
February 4, 20241 yr The songs are orchestral and not the originals. You're thinking of 'The Song Diaries'. 'Songs from the Kitchen Disco' includes her original tracks, bar Groovejet which is a 2020 recording.
February 5, 20241 yr I won't change you is not on it so it's a NO from me! B-) She hates it, which is pretty reprehensible :(
February 5, 20241 yr Sophie will be supporting Take That on their tour of Australia and New Zealand this year.
February 5, 20241 yr Amazing that Universal has snapped Sophie up again and she's performing at BAFTAs and the BRITs! The promo is so on point! Really hoping MOTD can reach the top 10 in the US eventually. I would love for SEB to have a proper comeback off the back of this.
February 6, 20241 yr Could it have already peaked in the US? It's down from #51 to #57. Hopefully there's more life left in it!
February 6, 20241 yr Could it have already peaked in the US? It's down from #51 to #57. Hopefully there's more life left in it! Ugh so close to top 50 as well. Hoping it can rebound or become a slow burning hit at least.

I was worried Universal Music Group removing their catalogue from TikTok would cause it to stall in some places, now by this point it just relies on radio and hopefully some promo!

February 6, 20241 yr Im happy that she is signed again and i hope she can build on the current success she is having.
February 6, 20241 yr Exciting (if true) I know it's one song that has got the revival but they must have some sort of plan to do something with her or else they wouldn't be bothering, would they?
