Realistically, it won't, and the people involved should be just donating to the Just Giving Page if they want to make a real difference.

 

ANOTHER cover of Like a Bridge will not do anything (apart from possibly peak high on iTunes for a couple of days). Charity singles always had a short shelf life but digital sales are so low, I just think it's pretty pointless and almost an insulting ego-polishing act. The Ariana one was more organic because the song had a direct relationship with the happenings and it kind of took off on its own anyway, but this is just and bit tasteless, even if some of the intentions are good at the heart of it.

 

The reps for the song today said "We don't care what it sounds like, it's about doing something good", confused me a bit.
