I will try to watch the World Championships. It's a shame that the Olympics are not being held this year as it would have been a perfect time for it to take place seeing as there's not much else happening this summer.

That was an enjoyable Anniverary Games with Felix, Pearson (even though she didn't win) and O'hare probably the stand-outs for me. Not expecting much from London in terms of British success but I am expecting a high-quality championships.

A final win for Mo Farah in his final track race in the 5000m in Birmingham.

So glad for him. He must've been disappointed in the Worlds. Mind you, the GB team left it very late to hit their medal target in London.

Former Olympic 1500m champion Asli Cakir Alptekin has been banned for life after a third doping offence.

In 2015, the 32-year-old was stripped of her 2012 Olympic and European titles and suspended for eight years by the Turkish Athletics Federation.

She returned this year after the ban was halved and its start date backdated to 2013, but has since reoffended.

"We are never, ever going to allow doping," said Turkish Athletics Federation chief Fatih Cintimar.

Six of the first nine finishers in the women's 1500m final at the 2012 Olympics have been given drugs bans, leading some to refer to it as the "dirtiest race in history".

Today's Cardiff Half Marathon marked the last commentary for Stuart Storey on the BBC after 44 years. Underrated commentator in my opinion he was.

That's not great. Knowing that I was watching the Games back then makes it feel weird that doping was still happening :(

There needs to be an automatic lifetime ban for even the first offence!
