Yeah the fellow queens are ridic, Kim Chi is coming across very cunty especially (idk if something happened between them though because they used to be really good friends I know). As Phi Phi tweeted, there's enough hate coming from deranged fans and opponents of LGBT culture in the first place, the actual girls should at least be supporting each other. Which just makes the jury shafting Shangela harder to swallow, as I said any drag queen worth their salt should really appreciate what she brings to drag and leave aside the fact that she was fighting to win and sent more of them home than Kennedy, Bebe or Trixie. And that's ultimately what it was, as much as they can say "she has her career anyway", because Trixie has a bigger career so if they're gonna use that we'd have had the worse possible top 2 of Bebe and Kennedy :lol:

i was happy with trixie or shangela winning so i’m here for it. trixie has talent, you have to admit that.

this seasons a little tainted but i certainly always enjoyed it, just wish the episodes were longer.

I think the difference with Alaska and Bob was they did bring it each week (with maybe a couple of occasions); whilst Alaska had that moment when she was bottom 2, she was fantastic that series along with Katya and Detox...

 

In fact last years final 3 completely outclasses this years final 3.

 

I don't think there would be such an issue if Trixie actually had the 'rudemption' storyline, but despite her hype she never seemed like a proper contender and nowhere in the same league as Shangela/ Ben

Yeah I've seen nobody blaming Trixie herself even though many don't think she was quite deserving of the crown this season. It's more the format and the silly twist people are complaining about.

Or the producers and the show itself? I don't really understand the point focusing any negative attention on any of the queens, all of the twists have been lose-lose for everyone involved.

 

The show used to be about talent and the drama the queens created themselves. I feel like this season was so rushed with mediocre challenges that they felt they needed the twists. Should have waited a few years.

It really isn't her fault the producers decided to add a stupid twist and the other queens didn't vote with their heads. The truth hurts.

I feel like she did deserve the crown (I mean I wanted Shangela more) but I was more than happy for Trixie to win she is funny, she served looks and has done the most outside of the show which is impressive given she did not so great in season 7. She was my second fave to win (Originally third but Ben left ffs).

What queens have done out of the show should have no bearing on how well they do on the show at all. it just gives certain queens more of an unfair advantage.

Trxie was a totally undeserving winner, she never gave any true Moments on the show and was just boringly average throughout.

I agree with Grant. Trixie was actually my least favourite of the top 4. I don't watch additional shows or keep up to date with what they do outside of the show - I just watch the show and expect the results to reflect their performance on the show. This series has been tainted by this finale and call me dramatic but I don't think I could stomach watching it again now, knowing the end result. Shangela would've made for an incredible winner with a triumphant storyline and has shown the most growth of any of the alumni.

 

I'm really quite upset and annoyed lmao, and the cynic in me is now thinking like Jack - that it's all been set up from the off that Trixie would win it :(

trixie is amazing. she really brought it towards the end. her bitchelor was the funniest, sharon frokovich beyond incredible, she REALLY stepped those looks up compared to season 7 while still being very Trixie. she's never sacrificed any part of her identity to fit in which reminds me a LOT of Katya's run on AS2. Yes, there were rough patches but really who doesn't have those.

 

i watch the trixie and katya show religiously and i saw every episode of UNHhhh but this really made me look at Trixie in a different light. She's never shown those levels of vulnerability before - even in her season when she talked about her childhood you wouldn't really feel it. now it's almost like she's being shown like a more rounded queen AS WELL as human being. we never got to see this in her season because she never had a chance to shine. now it took her some time to get going and i'm sure if they continued this season for a few more weeks she'd have brought it every single time.

Unfair advantage? this is all stars you are meant to show why you are an all-star post regular show so I don't see how this is an unfair advantage for some.

Trixie did though. She came top 2 twice, she served several looks. She redeemed herself after bottom two. Sure she didn't reach Shangela levels but she did well enough to warrant a place in the final and to be a well enough winner.

trixie deserved to win.
