August 15, 20177 yr OMGGG this is what she should have had in 2010 in the first place, but better late than never!!!!
August 15, 20177 yr Omg *.* I loved 'Insatiable' (second favourite solo GA song after 'Fight For This Love') and Xenomania GA-esque banger fills me with so much hope. Please deliver Nadine!!
August 15, 20177 yr Good job Cheryl has had her baby because the anticipation for this might have been too much :kink: Are we predicting a release this year or next?
August 16, 20177 yr omg ed sheeran spotted applying for universal credit after Nadine '17 put him out of work
August 16, 20177 yr Someone who has heard it has compared it to 'Groovejet' by Spiller and they seem to think it is coming on Fri 25th :o
August 16, 20177 yr This sounds like it is gonna be really good, so hyped *.* my favourite GA member
August 16, 20177 yr The lead single is called 'Go To Work' and here are some descriptions from people who have heard it: Go To Work is a lot like a late 90s summer dance track. It reminds me of Groovejet or something, it has that rolling groove. Not sure it sounds like Girls Aloud... maybe the last 30 seconds or so? "When I come home, when I come home, just a little bit of work when I come home" is very 'Sarah's bit' and the harmony/ad libs could be Nicola/Kimberley's lines I guess. It is certainly catchy, anyway. Not her best moment vocally, the intro seems harsh to me, but overall it's better than anything on Insatiable. I'd still say Beat Of My Drum remains the best solo Aloud moment, though. Call My Name a close second, this probably third. It's actually quite similar to Something New? Same tempo, same structure, same sort of distorted "male sounding" backing effect, double chorus ending with an echoed dead end. I swear the guitar riff, which is quite Nile Rogers/Get Lucky-ish, is from something else. But anyway, this is the most Girls Aloud solo song yet. I might even go as far to say more so than On The Metro, which I've always felt sounded like a Nicola Roberts b-side.It just carries on where Something New left off really. It's a pop song, leaning towards a dance song. It doesn't really sound like anything else just now... and I don't think it'll do anything, chart/sales-wise. It's too little too late and Xenomania bangers really aren't what the general public want.
August 16, 20177 yr omg!!!!!! That sounds phenomenal already, the Something New comparisons are particularly exciting :o :o :o (I've split the topic so we have one for the single)
August 16, 20177 yr I just made a separate topic in the last few minutes (must have been doing so at the same time), so if you wouldn't mind just deleting it. But yes, I am so excited. 'Groovejet' meets 'Something New' sounds amazing.
August 17, 20177 yr Trying not to get TOO excited but it's all sounding marvellous (and what should've been happening in 2010)
August 17, 20177 yr Author So ready for this, very excited that it's been compared to Something New! Her being a "one-woman GA" music-wise would be incredible. *.*
