I guess Bieber overexposure is having an effect much quicker than people expected. 'Friends' is hardly a disastrous flop (and of course there's every chance it could yet grow into a bigger hit) but debuting at #1 seemed like a low bar for him at this time, very surprised it's going to fall short of that. I guess it's on course to do better than '2U' at least.

I can't believe that Dua Lipa hasn't been #1 on iTunes yet.. (apparently her peak is #2) but an impressive chart trajectory nonetheless. Like something out of the early 90s!

Because they contribute a lot of vocals to the song so why shouldn't they be? :lol:

I'm unsure as to what the OCC will do with Reggaetón Lento and Little Mix's credit, they're horribly inconsistent on this, but they *should* be credited as it's the main single version in the UK, and the only reason it's charting at all :lol:

 

I mean, Matt Terry is credited on Súbeme La Radio so I don't see why they wouldn't be.

It is! Although this hasn't stopped them snubbing David Guetta on the remix of Bruno's Versace on the Floor :lol:

That's not the point being made here though - all of the examples above (Reggaetón Lento, Súbeme La Radio, Versace on the Floor) have had new single mixes released, all collaborations, and the OCC has been inconsistent in the crediting of these songs, they always have been. Sean Paul for example was not credited on Hair or Cheap Thrills, but OMI received a credit on The Vamps' I Found a Girl despite it being the exact same scenario.

Glad to see P!nk back at #1 on iTunes. Should get a new peak this week as her streaming is starting to rise nicely. Perhaps she could even be a contender for #1 over the next couple of weeks.
