On a more sober note:

 

I thought Melanie C, the album, would have sold better than that by now?... It's not bad for her standards but it was kind of everywhere and with great reviews, so kind of expected a bit more by now....The singles all deserved much better too. IAOOL, Fearless and Overload all bombed properly hey... Maybe cos they didnt get individual releases on places like iTubes?

 

I guess Who I Am doubling its sales is good though!

 

Great to see My Happy Place still going up. I wonder what its international sales are like... we might be looking at roughly 20k TOPS...

 

Wannabe being almost 2million AND Spice going over 3million copies is EXCELLENT! Kind of wish the charts updates this month would have highlighted those sales for both!!

 

Sad times for Spiceworld not selling that much more to be honest... When will it go platinum again? It has quite a bit to go...

 

Forever still not selling that much is such a shame though... Hope the vinyl kicks it up a notch but then we are talking roughly 2k in the UK in the long run lol... poor Forever and Holler! I guess the silver lining is that they are have sold a tiny bit since the last update with barely any promo hey...

Melanie C's album was on 8,364 sales on 16th Oct, now it's 9,741... 1,377 in 4 weeks. I'm sure Tommie is right in thinking that 10k will be achieved in a week or two... and a Melanie album managing that this quickly is pretty good going tbh!

Judging by the average monthly sales for Spiceworld I thought it would be at 1.610 by the end of the year at best, the fact it's already over 1.611 is a pleasant surprise.

I actually think Spiceworld update is better than I thought. It's sales are trickle selling better since the vinyl release. Hopefully the same will happen with Forever too.

 

So they sell about 1k albums a week in the UK on average when nothing is happening.

Who I Am has doubled its sales since May, so it will definitely pass the 10K mark in the coming months.

They don't officially combine the 2 songs anymore since the download/streaming era. Since then Mama has been accumulating it's own total and WDYTYA is the contributor to the main total. You can add them together unofficially.
