Finally Greatest Hits has managed to reenter the UK Top 200. It’s at #158 this week! No idea about sales total unfortunately.

Oh gosh, finally :cheer:

  • We have a new update for Wannabe from the Official Charts Company, it's now on 2,740,000! Source: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/spice-girls-reunion-world-tour/ Last update we had was 2,40

Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

It's true! No Scrubs took just 90 weeks to improve from 4xPlatinum to 5xPlatinum. It seems like it might "sell" double what Wannabe does each week. I suppose it's all down to heavy playlisting to go

IT'S ABOUT TIME! :w00t: :yahoo: :cheer:

Gosh I cant wait for a new revamped Greatest Hits, damn... It feels so wasteful

You have acts like Beatles, Queen, ABBA, etc constantly churning out new versions or editions of the same old Greatest hits, but nothing from our girls... It wouldn't really take anything from them, just a couple of unheard versions or whatever...

I agree. There's so many different compilation albums they could release to expand their discography. Each compilation album only needs 3 - 5 unreleased tracks for die hard fans to buy them. It's all about finding the right home for their unreleased material.

New greatest hits

Rarities album

Ballad collection

Christmas album

The group could record 10 - 14 Christmas classics. They wouldn't have to attempt to write and record any original songs if they didn't want to. They could pick a few underrated Christmas songs like George Michael's December Song to record.

As much as I would love that Xmas album... there is more chance of hell freezing over

This is what very baffling to me. It wouldnt cost them anything to do this, only gain

I wish we could get some new updates or at least some estimates from Jay? :P

I wonder if:

- What Took You So Long has crossed the 300,000 sales

- Holler has crossed the 350,000 sales

- Stop has crossed the 800,000 sales

- Greatest Hits has crossed the 800,000 sales (it f***ing should!!)

- Goodbye and Who Do You Think You Are/Mama have crossed the 1million mark each

- 2 Become 1 has crossed the 1,500,000 mark

- Headlines has crossed the 60,000 sales mark

- Viva Forever has crossed the 800,000 mark

Most of these should have been done or at least be near those marks by now, right?????

Since we had sales updates, the Spiceworld singles got some new attention during the SW25 campaign, some of those even going viral so Viva Forever, Stop and Spice Up Your Life should be higher at least?...

I think What Took You So Long should be over 300,000 by now at least, and Greatest Hits is hopefully well above 800,000... Holler often goes semi-viral online so hopefully that has increased a bit as well?

We might get some new updates for the Forever era at least, if they do a Forever25 campaign this year?

I wish we could get some new updates or at least some estimates from Jay? :P

:teresa:

Estimations:

803,000 - Greatest Hits

1,497,000 - 2 Become 1

1,006,000 - Goodbye

1,002,000 - Mama/Who Do You Think You Are

908,000 - Stop

886,000 - Viva Forever

344,000 - Holler/Let Love Lead the Way

325,000 - What Took You So Long?

66,000 - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)

There's every chance 2 Become 1 has already exceeded 1.5m. If it's true about Goodbye and M/WDYTYA, it would mean that the Spice Girls now have six singles on 1 million+ units! :cheer:

Other estimates:

2,670,000 - Wannabe

782,000 - Too Much

I think Spice Up Your Life has likely exceeded 1,300,000 and maybe Say You'll Be There is close to doing the same.

Lovely to see 'Goodbye' and 'Who Do You Think You Are' likely to have passed 1m! Do you know when 'Stop' is estimated to reach the milestone as well?

Thank you Jay

Those numbers would be amazing if anywhere near the total real numbers! I would LOVE to see them having 6 million sellers, what an incredible feat that would have been :w00t:

Goodbye deserves to sell more, but I am glad it will be soon a million seller. What a f***ing song!

Really want Maybe to also cross the 100k mark, as well as excited to see Stop and Viva Forever cross the million mark in a few years?...

Goodbye and Holler will hopefully get a bit of a boost this year when it comes to the celebrations around Forever25 (if there are any!)...

Emma should also get a slight boost the more active she is but maybe not so much since she doesn't particularly sell or stream that much... I would think that Maybe can cross the 100k in a few years if she continues to be active with her new management. Would be amazing if it goes viral - it has the perfect sound for that to happen!

It was on track to do it by April 2026! Hopefully that's the case, or even earlier, although judging by Goodbye and WDYTYA we might not even find out when it does it  We may have to wait another 4 years to see Stop certify 2xPlatinum!

If only Maybe had sold 100k in its first day on sale, like it deserved to! Rather than take 21 years and counting  (I mean, I assume it hasn't got to 100k yet, there's not enough old info to go on to try and predict it!)

For a second I thought "that's ages away!" until it dawned on me... 2026 is next year.

Quite amazing that by next year at least we will have them at 7 million sellers at least. Quite the feat! Then the next one would be Viva Forever but I gather that one will take longer, UNDERSERVEDLY!!! :teresa:

Oh Gosh, I wonder - I HOPE - that Forever is at least CLOSER to 300,000  <_< This is a CRIME!!!

thanks Jay, estimates are always appreciated 🙏

On chartplus pdf I found:

05/02/2000 What I Am (12") #158

11/03/2000 Bag It Up (12") #146

Probably promotional remix.

Wait is this from the vinyl charts or the main charts?

I know that What I Am got released as a 7-track EP a couple of years ago but that would be too random to chart whilst more promoted singles dont make a dent at all?

Main singles chart.

Main singles chart.

Oh wow that's quite amazing that those charted at all
