Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

Interesting to know that its pure sales have exceed 400k :cheer: and nice to have another overall update. It had sold 616,877 by 13th November 2020, so it's increased by 21,000+ since then. It's selling over 1,200 a week! This means it's likely to have exceeded 700,000 by March 2022.

234,000 of its figure coming from streaming is interesting - that is over a third of its overall total.

I only wish they'd taken the opportunity to give us a precise first week sale. It's only ever been shared as an approximate 115k.

P.S. Yes its sales of 420,200 in March 2017 included streaming.

Always interesting to get 2 figures fairly close together to see what something is selling on average weekly.

Hopefully with their catalogue getting a boost over summer we will see some of the estimate dates to reach certain milestones brought forward.

200,000 'sales' in the space of 4 years is nothing to be ashamed about! Love Stop! WHAT A BOP!

'Never Be the Same Again' is the OCC's chart flashback this week: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/n...e-again__14427/

In the UK, Never Be The Same Again entered straight in at Number 1 with first-week sales of 144,936, and to date has racked up combined sales of 477,000, inluding 5.5 million streams since 2014. Melanie had to fight her way to the top spot that week, facing competition from Moloko's The Time Is Now, which debuted at Number 2, while Santana's latin-pop smash Smooth was new at Number 3.
It was 465,000 in May 2020 and now it’s 477,000. 12k in just 11 months 😊

Yes, I'm curious to see the updated sales of it's raining men should be past 500k

That's a great rise for NBTSA, makes me wonder what ITTY is on as that streams better than NBTSA! :w00t:

It's also pretty sad that her new songs getting 12k is an achievement while a 21 old song does it in 11months lol

Indeed :( Although I suspect this 21 year old song still gets more airplay and exposure than her new songs. Which is sad, but at the same time impressive that she really delivered an iconic pop song that still clicks with the public to this day.

Girlies, I know it's a looooooong way to go, but we really MUST get Holler that Platinum certification by the time Forever's 25th Anniversary coes around B-)

It is one of their most deserving singles and since the General Public need education on it, we must come together and do it for them to learn and stream/buy Holler in mass.

How do we do it? How do we get them there?

I've got the fairy godmother and Genie on speed dial shall I give them a call?

If only Holler could randomly become a Tik Tok craze, that would get the streams going!

As things stand it'll only have increased to about 350k by the time of its 25th anniversary  It's not even on course to be Gold in time for its 30th...

Hunnies, girlies and sluties gather around :smoke:

We need to make Wannabe get back in the charts when this release happens. If it does, what do you think it will get to?

I predict a Top100 entry :teresa:

Sales needed to make the Top 100 can vary, but it's usually around 4.5k in a slow week but it can sometimes exceed 5k. Wannabe is on ACR (which means that its streaming numbers are halved for the purposes of the charts).

If there are new Wannabe physicals then hopefully they'd sell in the thousands - it would kind of need to, to give the song a fighting chance of re-entering! I imagine its weekly UK streams could be around 400k to 500k, maybe resulting in about 2k chart sales. It would certainly be helpful if the song experienced a boost in its streaming due to the anniversary.
