It would have been a huge smash if she'd released it straight after the performance but I understand why she didn't as it would have felt like she was capitalising on George's death. I do think they should have put it out sooner than December though, it's a gorgeous cover and there's literally no way to find a good quality version of the performance on Youtube :(

December 14, 20177 yr Fresh rumours of an imminent "Fastlove" release are circulating as Adele's odds of being Christmas #1 have shortened. The Daily Express have written an "exclusive" article and 'Freedom' (the George Michael documentary that the studio version was recorded for) is due to be repeated on Christmas Day. Very excited to hear the full version, thank God that Kevin didn't win X Factor to ruin her chances!

Also after 8 years of working in a bookies not once did I take a christmas #1 or winner of xfactor/strictly etc bet ever! People don't bet on those things.
