Bunton's own fault!!! If Maybe were available worldwide, it would be a better hit on streaming.

Gosh, that When You're Gone is higher than Spice Up Your Life, Holler and Goodbye is a CRIME!!!!!

I'm assuming When you're gone gets a lot of help from Bryan Adams, getting streams from his Spotify too. That is why every song is X artist ft Y artist these days

I know I will sound deluded, but among the three a Fearless is my fave 🙈😂

Thanks a lot Jay. Their laziness really hurts their streaming numbers, sigh.
Wannabe is finally expected to reach 500M streams on Spotify either tomorrow or on Friday. It’s now overtaken TLC’s No Scrubs by 300k. Am I right in thinking this will be the first girl group song to reach this milestone?

No, work from home or whatever it is called by 5th Harmony has like a zillion streams.

It is the biggest streaming hit for a girl group from the 90s and I think is the biggest female non Christmas streaming song from the 90s too.

Wannabe is now at 499.4m streams and is still ahead of TLC. I feel like it’s slowing down because I keep waiting for it lol. As Sammy said 5th Harmony have 2 songs (one at 700m streams and another over 1 billion).

Apart from that no other girl group has had as many streams for a song, as far as I can see. Would be amazing to have Wannabe be the first girl group song of the 90s to reach 500m first and the first British girl group to have a Spotify track reach that milestone

There's a Radio Version of No Scrubs that is on 3,660,919, so technically TLC have already done over 500m if you combine that and the album version 🤭

Ok let’s not go there lol

“Wannabe” reached 500 million streams on Spotify today!! The first British girl group track to achieve this! :cheer:
‘Melanie C’ is #568 on the Apple Music Albums chart *.*

-_-

Do we know if it charted on amazon at all?

 Such a great achievement. I only wish that a significant number of the people who contributed to those 500m listens would stick around to hear their other hits lol.

It's a bit of a shame that the other singles have been relatively left behind in the streaming era. In the 90s in the UK, 2 Become 1 sold 90% of what Wannabe sold. It certainly felt like it was just about as massive. But on streaming worldwide, it has only managed 14% of the number of streams Wannabe has. :(

-_-

I'm honestly surprised it's making any sort of dent in the Apple Music chart lol - hopefully it'll be somewhat better when the full album is out.

It'll be interesting to see if 'Melanie C' gets more streaming units than Emma's album, or not.

Speaking of My Happy Place, unfortunately we never found out the split between physicals, downloads and streaming in the first week for it... but I estimate that she might have done 200 streaming units in week 1, and maybe approaching 5,700 physicals and 800 downloads.

Wannabe is popular among youngsters who are the majority in streaming and Stop is doing really well too but the numbers show that Stop is popular in some region only probabaly in the UK. The US is the biggest streaming market so that helps boost up sales for American artists very well especially with big catalouges. TLC's Crazysexycool was around 7XP same as Spice in 2000s but just hit Diamond status probably last year thanks to streaming. It's such a shame that they were huge, impactful but short-lived in the US and in the world. Their sales outside UK barely moved since then. And seeing Victoria doesn't want to join or perform ever again, I just don't understand how is movie gonna sell? I swear tons of youngsters today don't really know how massive the Spice Girls were and still are.

Anyway, it's nice seeing the four girls trying to come up with something but leave the iconic video alone, girls. :D

Yeah I was impressed that Melanie was in the streaming chart at all :kink: I hope her slayage of the Radio 2 Playlists means all the listeners buy the album *.*
SYBT is #949 on iTunes in the UK, which is the highest I’ve seen it in a while. I was going to do a SYBT download campaign but I think more fans will be focused on the Holler and Forever album anniversaries.

#788 - FOREVER (new entry) :cheer:

We need to have a download/streaming week for Forever the week the vinyl is released.
