Aquaria's Melania Trump was f***ing GENIUS. A perfect choice that there was so much to do for, and she did it all. I'm honestly gagged that of all people to pull off a perfect Snatch Game in this season of huge personalities and funny queens, it's Aquaria, but I absolutely cannot deny that. There was so much thought put into it, all the subtle references like the hooker piss joke, the Michelle Obama name card, not just the mannerisms and look - INCREDIBLE. I think it might be one of my fave Snatch Game performances ever. Definitely the best look this week, I *loved* the oil spin on things, that showed she thought about it much more than the others who were like "mermaid, stunning!".

 

Eureka was really great too, in character the whole time and embodied a lot of the funny things that anyone who's seen any of Honey Boo Boo will remember about her. Monet definitely stepped it up too, Maya Angelou is not a character you think of as funny and Snatch worthy but Monet really turned it out. Cracker and Kameron were ok, I'm not that familar with either character but they didn't really stand out as hilarious that much.

 

On the other end, Monique was definitely the worst unfortunately :( I really thought she'd be incredible at Snatch Game because she's so witty and funny but that fell SO flat. I think it was a wrong choice, because to make someone like Maxine Waters funny on Snatch Game, I think you'd have to basically know her inside out. Vixen tbf I think was probably slightly better than Asia (although I actually liked Asia's runway despite the mask, like Aquaria it was a different way of thinking about it and you can get bored of the same old beauty), yet another awful Beyonce :rofl: Blue Ivy is just a stupid choice to say the least as of course they're a pretty private family so we don't know anything about her. That could have been a great performance if it was say in the Bossy Rossy challenge as a pushy aggressive mother and bratty/over it daughter, but for impersonating celebrities they were awful. Plus naturally The Vixen's look sealed her bottom 2 placing. But yet again we lose a brilliant queen because of one bad week and a couple of splits from The Vixen :rolleyes: The lipsync is of course an important part, as your last lifeline, but when you give f*** all in the challenges you shouldn't be able to just split your way through the competition. I hate that this season seems to be about stunts and shenningans in lipsyncs, just because Sasha won that way :drama: It was effective and shocking when she did it, it's not when The Vixen and Monet have done it 4 weeks in a row now.

I'm so over The Vixen at this point. It's not amusing anymore that she's causing shit, and I thought the real unprofessionalism was her throwing a strop because Eureka chose a child for Snatch Game but actually pulled it off and was funny. Eureka "gets all the attention" because she knows how to command a room and is actually funny, something you have none of hun. I don't see how seizing the moment and getting jokes in when the question comes to you is "unprofessional"? :lol: I'm also beyond done with every single week looking like Vixen has made her outfit out of the dregs remaining after a Drag On A Dime challenge, and then having THE NERVE to call anyone else unprepared or unpolished :rofl: I was here for the drama but now it's getting more serious as a compeition, she is really outstaying her welcome and coming across as delusional.

 

I'm also GAGGING at the Cher challenge next week :wub: I think being what I assume is a lipsync or dance performance type challenge Eureka's dynamite run will end probably.

God, that was so close...wish Asia was a bottom 2 and send The Vixen home. Her calling Eureka unprofessional while herself spreading so much negativity in a room just by not being able to take a single critique, that is so professional. Gurl bye!!!

 

I was so rooting for Aquaria and Monet...Aquaria killed it Melania and mainly the runway :wub:, which obviously that helped her getting a challenge win from Monet.

Whilst you can see Eureka and Aquaria for example on that journey and overcoming things, Miz Cracker was so high to start with that she feels like if she does anything less than win a challenge, she doesn't really have anywhere to go. She was giving me such Katya teas at the start but I'm definitely getting more Thorgy now.

Oh and yeah that Beyonce and Blue Ivy was such a car crash!!!

At the moment she’s reminding me of Trixie, where everyone’s like oh this queen is SO HILARIOUS and i’m not getting it all, but she’s white and blonde which is really a good 75% of the battie nowadays, oh and yes was Vixen’s lipsynx underwhelming for the second week in a row, but MONEY DIDN’T HAVE A f***ING CLUE ABOUT ANY LYRIC, and just a year after Valentina did the same, it’s her own fault, even though I love her.

As soon as Aquaria revealed her character I KNEW it's an incredibly smart choice. You can do so much with it and it's a very "now" person so it was bound to stand out for whatever reason. She did an INCREDIBLE job. By FAR the funniest in the episode. I hate to say this but I'm starting to see something in Aquaria.

 

Let's see if Eureka can do other characters too. So far it's mostly children and she relies on her weight to see it way too much. Not quite there yet for me. Although I did feel like Vixen went a bit overboard with her critique on the main stage :/

 

Maya though OMG. Monet was everything that Chi Chi was supposed to be indeed. Lived for her.

 

BIC/Beyoyo UGH i mean come AWN... At least Monique TRIED to land some jokes. Those two never even attempted to do so. Meh. Vixen should've gone home but she's getting saved by having weak lipsyncers against her. And that lip sync was the worst this season by far, from both of them. I was hoping for a double sashay away. Obviously Vixen is a huge character this season so they will milk that drama until the very last moment!

 

Oh and what a PISS POOR reading challenge :////

Honestly I think it's a bit lazy to be like 'Eureka' is doing the same characters.. one was an adult masquerading as a baby who spoke as an adult, eloquently, with the exception of a tantrum. The other was a dimwitted actual young child who was charmingly vacant and ventured nowhere near baby tantrum territory. Like.. they weren't the same.

 

Aquaria killed it though, undeniable winner.

 

Correct placements, Monique could have perhaps avoided the actual b2 but then she didn't have a crazy fish face, which I kinda loved. And if you don't know the words... sad but fair.

That's kinda what I love about Eureka, she takes her own personality and the strengths of that and puts them into characters, for example in her Tap That App character she really shone because she was pretty much just herself and shaped that into a character that really stood out. I also agree that the two child characters were different, the gag of the baby thing was that it was supposed to be a normal person dressed as a baby and then they tipped into the tantrum and because it was so ridiculous it absolutely stole the show, and then Honey Boo Boo is a dumb in a funny sort of way child. I also don't think the baby was really anything to do with her weight, although I suppose the visual gag of her actually being fat added to the character, and with Honey Boo Boo she is also an overweight child and the mouth on a belly thing was a Honey Boo Boo gag from the show. I think it's that she chose a character that lended itself to her weight so she could nail the look, rather than milking it as such. And that's the smart thing to do on Snatch Game, pick something you know you can nail in both personality and look, whereas others like say Kameron think the look is enough (and I guess that plus not totally butchering the character is enough for safe).

 

And yeah I was thinking that earlier actually about Monique, it's a shame she couldn't have slayed the runway becasue Asia's kind of divided the judges and they all didn't like Vixen's :( I didn't really buy the whole "I don't have money for looks" thing though, as a queen in that position you have to be resourceful, many queens in the past have got by and then some making looks out of whatever they could and made it work.

The pickle character was, although I think she has a certain "type" of humour that isn't for everyone, it was kinda "this is so stupid that it's funny" :lol: She also bounced off the others really well in the Tap That App challenge. There's been so many comedy/personality challenges that I think there probably won't be any more, at least not for a couple of weeks, by which point I imagine that'll be it for Cracker, so I can't see her quite getting that moment. I think like Trixie she's not quite the most suited to the actual/show competition, she's hilarious on Review With A Jew for example but even though she's had so many chances to show it here she hasn't had a stand out moment at all. I really don't think it's fair to be like "oh but she's blonde so everyone stans", people clearly see something in her and have explained it we're not just loving her for no reason :lol:

Also I'm RAGING at the fact that a couple of splits from Vixen made us miss Blair as Lea Michelle/Rachel Berry on Snatch Game :(

I kinda liked Monique but im honestly okay with her going because I felt a lot of looks were cheap looking and it needs to look expensive if you dont have a lot of money to work with. Tbh, she sealed her own fate by not knowing the words to the song so The Vixen pretty much won by default.

 

I loved Aquaria's snatch game both intelligent and well thought.

 

 

Absolutely gutted about the heart of season ten making an exit. It wasn't her week but I'm going to really miss her.

I didn't really buy the whole "I don't have money for looks" thing though, as a queen in that position you have to be resourceful, many queens in the past have got by and then some making looks out of whatever they could and made it work.

I can't remember who said in an interview that Monique almost didn't do the show because she couldn't afford to get there. She had nothing. She literally bought all her materials days before arriving and did what she could. Imagine her with a budget. All Stars please! Give her that Alyssa edit.

Miz Cracker has that oddball humour that doesn't really make sense like Katya and Trixie. It might not work on the show but you only have to go to Youtube to see they're funny - not everyone is able to keep up with the pressure of Drag Race and they all clearly struggled. A lot of their fanbase exists because of what they've done off the show.

She's hella overrated on here and I can't stand queens who complain about not having the resources to make good drag. Asia's Beyoncé was probably the worst this week but her runway was the best overall so I can understand why she didn't have to lipsync.

I really don’t think this series is going to be for me, after what started off as a really strong series is turning terrible by all my faves going. Made worse by Eureka doing well who I honestly find the most unlikeable Drag Queen ever. I’m so stubborn that I’ll just not watch the rest now :lol:

Nah I liked Violet's Snatch Game well enough it just wasn't like a break through or standout moment as it is for a lot of winners (Sasha, Bob, Bianca, Jinkx and Chad all did v well on Snatch Game). This feels like such a moment for Aquaria as what was holding her back for me was her not having the same wit or personality as the others so hopefully her winning Snatch Game gives her the confidence to take herself and make herself look silly and let go and be funny as herself too.

I think as she's quite private you only really see her like performing or giving really BIG interviews and she's quite professional and composed, so there's really not a lot to work with. She's a fierce diva in performing etc. but there just isn't a huge amount to take and make funny, compared to say Honey Boo Boo and Melania Trump where there was so much material to take and use. Beyonce always feels like a default "I didn't prepare anything but I'm fierce like Beyonce" choice and Asia is so funny so it's really disappointing she took that route :drama:

People can slam Eureka all they want but you can’t deny that the Honey Boo Boo impression was SPOT ON. It also helps that this was more fitting with my generation :P it was missing a “Honey Boo Boo child!!!” somewhere in there but the rest of the references were there. Same with Aquaria. Slammed Trump even more than Maxine Walters did!

 

I think this must be the first time I’ve liked a Vixen outfit. It’s not much, but for once it doesn’t look phoned in. I’m not mad at Monique going at this point. Had it been two eliminations earlier, then maybe, but she’s gone so MOR at this point.
