This reminds me of Stronger by Clean Bandit in style, both with the verses and the backing singing in the chorus.

 

I like the House Gospel Choir, gospel house is very good and uplifting imo, there were a few gospel house songs in the mid 00s that were hits like Praise Cats - Shined On Me, Blaze and Barbara Tucker - Most Precious Love and more recently in 2015, Bakermat - Teach Me of course!

Correct! Originally by Clivillés & Cole, released in 1991 under the name 'A Deeper Love' and was recently covered by Jauz in 2015.

Only part of the chorus from the C&C hit is used, most of the track is new

well, I thought this one will melt my ice for sure after a couple of listens... still waiting for that moment. someone whispers into my ear that it won't happen.
