I was having this discussion with my Dad in the car the other day and I was explaining my reasons why I think Beyoncé (rather than any of her contemporaries such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Pink, Adele etc.) is the most likely one to go down as a music legend alongside the likes of Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley & Madonna.

 

I feel like she has changed the music game the most out of any of current artists around and constantly shocks the world with flawless performances as well as being a massive part of current pop culture. She has plenty of classics that I can see being played on the radio for years to come (Single Ladies, Crazy in Love, Halo etc.) and it looks like she's only really reaching her peak now!

 

What are your thoughts on this? :o

I think out of the contemporaries Beyoncé and Rihanna are the most likely to be considered legends in the future due to their disographies.

 

Beyonce instead of Gaga or Adele? I'd disagree with that. But as well as, yeah, sure.

 

Katy Perry tho has definitely fallen off her perch.

I think shes got the makings to be a music legend, but shes definitely no Madonna or Cher just yet.

Erm yes. Beyonce is absolutey THE music legend of our generation? Duh.
