That was so completely random, why would the BBC go to the trouble of filming that to waste it on a segment on the One show.

It did seem a bit random to air it when they did, other than having Emma in the studio to react to it...

What’s that Wonderful Day song playing and why it sounds like Mel C and Emma?

Lianne should've been put into the group after Geri left as GLAM SPICE.

She’s younger than Geri?

Edit: need that Wonderful Day song? Who’s singing?

Edit: oh, it’s a song by the Spice-wannabe Who never was.

Really wish Geri had stayed for onw more album in 1999 :(

It really is a shame their discography is so small. This is the reason why they probably never will be taken serious in terms of music caliber. Only having 31 album tracks screams flash in the pan to the majority of music critics.

If the girls had just done one more proper era in 1998 or 1999 with or without Geri their discography would be so much fuller. Plus it's pretty much a cert they would have had 10+ #1 singles which would have put them in such a unique bracket!

Imagine Geri stayed for one more album in 98 then left in 99 and the girls released a 4th album straight away to prove they didn't need her aaaah dreams!

I think it was better she left. The music was changing and I doubt they were going to have the same success (of course, better than FOREVER yes).

Also I’m glad we got such gems like Northern Star, the Mels collaborations with Missy, Bryan Adams and Left Eyes, Vicky B Out Of Your Mind and Baby Bunton What Took You So Long and Geri interview were she talked, talked and talked.

They’re unique because they achieved all that with just two records.

Now it’s time for them to give back and release demos and unreleased at least via streaming.

This would have been better.

Forever feels like half an era.

I wish they done a more pop orientated third album and Forever could have been the fizzle out fourth album.

To be honest, I am not mad anymore that Geri left. It is what it is. What they should have done is release another album in 1999. That's the major gripe for me.
Imagine a third album era with goodbye for Christmas 1998 followed by an album in early 1999 and at least 2-3 singles. If the album did 10 million tops plus a million a single, then the era would have added another 15m to their total and probably more no.1s to their catalogue

Amazon now have a much wider range of Spice merch clothing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?i=clothing&b...+Girls+Official

According to Chris on Spice Circle, the girls' team is asking for these to be removed from the shop cos they havent been aproved apparently.

Sneaky sneaky Amazon :arrr: but ultimately, the designs were terrible. I really want the pink Spice World hoodie but tehy will never do it again :(

Another full album in 1998 - 99 was never going to be a possibility anyway with or without Geri due to the pregnancies.

Mel B and Victoria were always going to take a break and that break was always going to lead to solo ambitions which in turn would change priorities.

I think you are right specially since Victoria and Mel B both wanted a rest to enjoy their pregnancies. It didnt have to be that way though. Pregnancies dont stop people working if they want to - look at Bunton who went on tour 2months after Beau was born.

Technically them being in the studio whilst pregnant/taking care of newborns would be much better than touring/promoting so it was possible.

They just didnt want to do it anymore, clearly...

Basically this! Look at Atomic Kitten, Natasha continued the second album promotion throughout her pregnancy and was back with the girls almost as soon as she had given birth! Little Mix seem to have lots of plans still to come after a very brief rest (will be interesting to see how they pan out).
