I kind of wonder whether Victoria and Mel would still have become pregnant if Geri hadn’t left, but we’ll never know what could have been!

Mel B was likely pregnant before Geri left though probably didn't know yet.

Actually Phoenix was a little premature so maybe she wasn't.

I dont believe Geri not leaving would have stopped them from getting pregnant though.

Ive been enjoying this youtube channel that has provided really interesting takes on the history of some music acts - their video essay on theimpact of Sugababes' Freak like Me was excellent!

Interested to learn what you guys think of this one?

Not to be dramatic but got a bit emotional seeing this. It's not only they were young girls emerging in male-dominated industry but also the fact that they were pop girls, the genre everyone hates. It was because they were the first as well that made everything harder. Yet against all the odds they did it. May their legacy lives on.

According to Chris on Spice Circle, the girls' team is asking for these to be removed from the shop cos they havent been aproved apparently.

Sneaky sneaky Amazon :arrr: but ultimately, the designs were terrible. I really want the pink Spice World hoodie but tehy will never do it again :(

They've been removed now, even what was originally for sale. Kind of bizarre though, that store was around for 2 years?

Maybe they are putting up new and better things soooooon

I think it was a deal Modest made to sell those images to Amazon for Merch and they have been gone the moment the tour ended.

Hopefully it's a sign the Universal merch is coming.

Turns out that Who Do You Think You Are, not Wannabe, is the Spice Girls most played song on radio and TV this century:

Who Do You Think You Are has been named the most-played Spice Girls song on TV and radio since 2000.

The chart-topping single from the group’s 1996 debut album Spice topped a list compiled by music licensing company Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) to mark the 25th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe.

PPL analysed radio and TV airplay data from the 21st century to compile a top 10. Many of the band’s hits were released in the late 1990s.

The Spice Girls – Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell – famously opened the 1997 Brit Awards with a performance of the song, in which Halliwell wore a headline-making Union Jack dress that became a symbol of the Cool Britannia era.

The upbeat dance track fended off competition from fan favourites Wannabe and Stop, which came in at two and three on the list respectively.

Pop ballad 2 Become 1 was the fourth most-popular Spice Girls track, while Say You’ll Be There was at number five.

At six was Spice Up Your Life, while Goodbye was at seven and Mama eight.

Viva Forever and Too Much closed out the list at number nine and 10 respectively.

Peter Leathem, chief executive of PPL, said: “The Spice Girls are a true British music phenomenon who conquered the world’s charts and became one of the most influential and successful acts of all time.

“The 25th anniversary of the release of their landmark first single Wannabe is the perfect time to celebrate the group’s remarkable legacy and the enduring popularity of their countless hits.”

The Spice Girls celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe on Thursday.

I love reading all these articles and stats! Really proving their power and success. Having said that, I am surprised WDYTYA is the most played song. It obviously has the iconic video and performance, but even on Spotify it's not in their top 5 nor is it one of their best selling songs.

An interesting #1! I suppose local radio stations must prefer to play that one the most.
In a way I'm not that surprised - Wannabe is kind of obnoxious and in your face (in a good way), but I can see that turning radio off from just playing it casually. Who Do You Think You Are is more pleasant for radio playlists I think, same with Stop.

Spice Girls' Mel C likens Jesy Nelson to Geri and says Little Mix can survive without her

Exclusive: As the Spice Girls celebrate 25 years since the release of their debut single Wannabe, Mel C predicts the UK's biggest girlband of today - Little Mix - will go on to similarly great things despite their recent line-up change

Mel C predicts Little Mix will go on to 'great things' despite Jesy Nelson quitting - as she admits resenting Geri Horner for walking out on the Spice Girls at the height of their fame.

The Sporty Spice star, 47, predicts that while Jesy's departure will be 'tough' on surviving members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, they can still thrive as a trio.

Geri, 48, caused a storm when she quit her record-breaking girl group in 1998 - two years before the rest of the group decided to call it quits.

Recalling the controversial decision, Mel said: "It was tough. With our experience with Geri leaving we missed her. We went through a phase of being quite angry with her.

“But we understood it was something she needed to do and she did make her apology at Wembley a few years ago, to the fans and us actually.

“Now so much water has gone under the bridge. Life is full of so many twists and turns and nothing stays the same. You have to be adaptable and ready for change."

Comparing the Spice Girls' upheaval to girlband of the moment Little Mix, Mel went on: "I absolutely adore Jesy, but the three girls carrying on I think are as fantastic now as they’ve ever been and they’ll all continue to do great things whatever they do.

“They are all incredible vocalists and great role models as well,” added Mel, who says she’s a 'huge fan' of the X Factor winning band.

During the final date of the Spice Girls' 2019 reunion tour, Geri brought Wembley Stadium to a standstill as she issued an apology over her decision to leave two decades earlier.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left. I was just being a brat,” she admitted.

"It is is good to be back with the girls that I love,” she added of bandmates Mel C, Emma Bunton and Mel B, with Victoria Beckham choosing not to participate in the stage shows.

The 13 date tour came 21 years after Geri quit the group, which was blamed at the time on exhaustion and differences between the members.

In December last year, Jesy Nelson, 30, stunned Little Mix fans by announcing she was leaving after 10 years, revealing in a statement that being part of the group had ‘taken a toll on my mental health.’

Five months later she went on to sign a solo deal with Polydor Records.

Bandmates Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne have continued as a threesome and showed there was no hard feelings by giving a shout out to Jesy as they picked up their Brit Award for Best British Group in May.

While making history as the first female group to win the Brit, Little Mix also gave a nod to the ‘incredible female bands’ that preceded them, name-checking Girls Aloud, All Saints and the Spice Girls.

Sharing her surprise at the mention, Mel said: “It was so lovely and so very gracious of them to talk about the bands that had come before them.

“They are very deserving of that award in their own right, but to give a little nod to people who’ve come before them was really heartwarming and touching.

“Myself and all the girls were chuffed to bits with that.”

This week the Spice Girls mark their milestone 25 year anniversary and remain the best-selling girl group of all time.
