Odd Mel C didn't post anything about The Queens passing.

I don't think she has ever been as outspoken as the others about the royals has she? She is the only one who doesn't seem to have been involved with them or their charities right? I wouldn't be surprised if she is slightly anti-royal really.

Well, she is the most 'progressive' in her values, that's for sure, but also she is probably a bit pissed that once again her campaign is halted for reasons beyond her.

Good for her, I would be pissed too!

Maybe she’s just indifferent to the royals. You don’t have to be hater or a royalist.
Whatever her feelings on the royals she has met the Queen/performed for her several times. She was proud and celebrated Mel B's MBE too. Just seems odd as it is obviously good PR to do too.
Her brother posted the following:

I think he is right Tbf. I struggle with the royal family as I don’t totally approve of the institution yet at the same time I am fascinated by the pageantry and pomp of it all which dates back over a thousand years. Either way I just think there is a time and a place and being rude or cruel only shows yourself up.

Very happy about that tbh

Ah, the caucasity

This

The queen isnt any normal old woman, and telling millions of people whose lives were upheld, ended and colonialised to mourn or not criticise her, or express disgust at her, is just wrong. Whatever your views on the monarchy, you have to understand that its very existance is a direct oppression to millions across the world.

I totally missed the 5th anniversary of this Spice Girls forum being brought back on BuzzJack! It happened on 6th September 2017. So that means it’s been 5 years since DenDen was deleted and also 5 years since Spice Circle on Facebook was created.

Clearly the majority of DenDen members went the way of the Facebook group lol, but I’m always happy that quite a few of us came here as well. I’ll always prefer the forum format to (what I consider to be) the disorganised chaos of a Facebook group. Thanks everyone for making this forum a great place to read for all these years!

It does feel a bit weird that it’s been that long since DenDen was removed. I will always think it was wild and kind of selfish that it was deleted without the opportunity for somebody to take it over. I know it had a reputation, but aside from that, it really did serve as an excellent archive for all things Spice Girls… and it was just wiped without a care! Sigh. I mean I am mostly over it, but if I do think about it from time to time, that was such a waste. It’s funny to think I posted there for almost 15 years and all those contributions are gone. I would say that makes it feel like a waste of time, but I suppose what counts is that during those years it was an entertaining and useful place to be for Spice Girls discussion. And for me that place is now here!

I have the feeling at some point she’s going to post something. If she doesn’t, kudos to her. Let’s not forget she has Irish ancestry. And right now, I stand with Irish people.

Her last story on IG shows her book commitment with a big CONFIRMED on top of it LOL

This place is much nicer than DenDen anyway.

For real. And definitely much better than Spice Circle

Forgot about her Irish ancestry, same as Emma!

Good for her. Even if she does it eventually, it is a clear sign where her priorities lay and she isn't just jumping on a bandwaggon.

Progressive Spice :w00t:

Let's not pretend Mel C is more principled than the rest when she has a history or throwing her morals on the fire when it suits her.

Is on the Justice Collective single, does exclusive interviews with The Sun.

Is an LGBT friend until she pulls out of a pride gig ill, is pictured the next day on holiday and never gave her advance back.

Performs for royalty, will kiss any royals ass at any event, celebrates Mel B's MBE. So not posting about The Queens death doesn't suddenly make her progressive.

Melanie C cares about herself and her career just like the rest of them.

Listen, we all make mistakes and no-one is perfect. Better to celebrate her progressive stance than Gerita being a Tory or Mel B and Victria accepting MBEs.. On that regard, Mel C celebrating her friends' achievement is not indicative she is a monarchist, lets please chill.

This is not to say that Mel C might not respect the monarchy as an institution, she probably does. But at least she is not fawing at them at all times like so many in the UK do.

Her support for the LGBTQ+ community has been great too, and we should acknowlege that even if that should just be the standard.

I wish Bunton would be as progressive to be honest. And that Geri wouldnt throw her support to literal anti-LGBTQ+ neo-fascists like Truss and Dories.

So yeah, by pretty much all accounts she is Progressive Spice, even if that is quite the low bar right now...

Hundred’s of thousands of celebs havent posted anything about the queen. Yet the only person being talked about is Melanie C! !!
