But it's like the perfect song for her, She didn't have number 1's in the UK because of the music (AMAZING) is not single based but I think this will work and explode till Christmas at least.

The Beyoncé remix of 'Mi Gente' didn't send that to #1 either (maybe because it was pretty terrible and pointless but still). Beyoncé isn't as massive a selling point for singles as people seem to make her out to be, she hasn't really had a properly big hit for years now. That said, as 'Perfect' is already not far off #1 I imagine this remix will push it to the top at least for a week.

and the Eminem single, another terrible single

What makes you assume that this remix will be any better / more likely to translate into being a long-running #1 hit? At least wait until we actually know what it sounds like before making that prediction :lol: The underperformance of 'Walk On Water' is proof enough that just having 2 massive names on a song (and, specifically, just having Beyoncé on a song) does not necessarily mean it'll be a big hit. If this remix turns out to be as pointless as the one for 'Mi Gente' there's every chance it'll only have a short term effect.

 

Ed Sheeran/Beyoncé doesn't really sound like a particularly natural collaboration to me tbh. I thought it would turn out to be Bieber (hence him describing it as 'Despacito'-ing the song) which would have made a lot more sense. Will reserve judgement until we hear it though... :P

touché, we should really listen before judging, but i really think ed has sealed the xmas #1 single and album now

Beyonce could still easily be a singles artist if she tried. Formation would have zoomed to #1 if it was released on iTunes and Spotify the week the video dropped but she gave it away as a free Tidal download instead. :') The Eminem song started off well but my god it was terrible, hype can only get you so far.

But Stay Another Day had those Christmas bells in it near the end at least and does sound rather Christmassy. Perfect doesn't.
