Oooomg I already forgot about Dear Hate (due to not going back to it for the same reason), WHAT a song :'( Maren can do no wrong, amazing that she wrote it 3 years ago!

Rockstar was a major surprise for me too, I never thought I'd even make it through a Post Malone song from beginning to end let alone enjoy it

I think it's mabe because it's so emotional it's a bit much to listen to for me </3

What Lovers Do is one of their best in years! Just so catchy.

Great to see Rockstar here, one of my fave UK #1s in a long, long time. I'm still playing it loads even now, also looking forward to hearing his new album now!

Yass such atune!

Love that "Getaway Car" is in your Year-End List, it's the best song from her new album!

It's great that "IDGAF" is in your Year-End List, it deserves to be a single!

Forgot how "Dear Hate" was very good! It is very great and a touching song after the Las Vegas Shooting.

IDGAF should be huge hopefully!

Fingers crossed, she can do no wrong *.*

Nice to see I Got You here! It remains the only Bebe song I like oops, would have been great to see it go Top 40 but it just wasn't to be :(

It really felt like it could have done that :(

You lost it a LOT with Rockstar but redeemed yourself a bit with What Lovers Do   That might be one of my fave M5 songs of all time.

71 Walk The Moon – One Foot

72 Loreen – Body

73 P!nk – Beautiful Trauma

74 Post Malone – I Fall Apart

75 Alice Merton – No Roots

76 Pvris - Heaven

77 Taylor Swift – Call It What You Want

78 Jessie Ware – Alone

79 Demi Lovato – Sorry Not Sorry

80 Camila Cabello ft. Quavo – OMG

OMG is the first entry for one of the biggest new starsof the year! While her ex-bandmates of Fifth Harmony floundered with their self titled effort, Camila went from strenth to strength. This was a joint release for her 2nd single, but Havana far outstripped it and became the true single. This has so much attitude to show another side to Camila after a pop bop (Crying In The Club) and a smooth Latin jam in Havana.

Sorry Not Sorry is far from a Demi fave for me, but it really grew so that I definitely really enjoy it now! I get the screech criticisms, but her sass in this shines through and the R&B direction is definitely one that suits her as well as being waht she really loves.

Alone is such a gorgeous song, as ever from Jessie all that she really needs for a song to shine is her silky smooth voice!

Call It What You Want was initially a bit meh for me, but it really fits on the album and the lyrics when you really listen to them are just lovely, which makes for a winning combination with the lush chilled production.

Heaven is a huge rock song that is very characteristic for Pvris. As the first taste of the new album this was definitely setting the tone for the amazing album.

No Roots was a rightful BJSC smash for St. Burbia! Vocally, Alex is very much like a restrained Florence And The Machine, but she still has that deep powerful quality to her voice that brings the song alive.

I Fall Apart was another surprise from Post Malone, as I was floored to hear an emotional ballad from him! Much like Marvin's Room is a highlight for Drake, hearing such a different side to him was great and this is such a great listen.

Beautiful Trauma is going to be bigger into 2018, but it's made a decent impact on this end of year anyway! Much like lead single What About Us, the title track to Pink's latest album is classic Pink with a little twist so it isn't boring or samey. And the video is, as always with Pink, amazing - one of the best of the year easily.

Body was a welcome change in sound for Loreen, being influenced by 90s trance! It still has her usual feel to it, but the subtle pulsing beats fit perfectly with her smooth voice and this just feels really 90s which is fab.

One Foot is such an anthem, how on earth was this not huge? :drama: The bridge and chorus are both huge and build up to such an anthemic song all in all, easily their best and should have really smashed.

Not poppin' enough pillies tbh xo

I adore Beautiful Trauma so I am very glad to see it here

I Fall Apart was very good I wish that was pushed as a single :(

Heaven was good!

Call It What You Want is good not a massive fave from the album for me but its good!

Alone  I do love me some Jessie Ware

Sorry Not Sorry is such a banger!

Camia too

Hi Liam

Yay at Sorry Not Sorry appearing here, I'm glad it eventually grew on you. It wasn't instant love for me either but I think it may be her best ever single for me now. It's a toss up between that and "Give Your Heart a Break"!

Beautiful Trauma is a catchy little track too, definitely stronger than WAU in my opinion as I went off that really quickly. Hopefully she pushes Revenge and Secrets as singles in the future *.*

No Roots  Instantly catchy! One of those songs that you love the moment you hear it and just want it on repeat :D

Banging banger as Jacob would say :kink:

I Fall Apart was kind of a single after it went viral but it should have been as huge as Rockstar

Secrets is such a banger

Sorry Not Sorry gets way too much hate, I've never felt bored of it

I kind of get it being a bit "screech" for want of a better word, but people do go way OTT over it imo

61 Taylor Swift – Don’t Blame Me

62 Isabell Otrebus – Voiceless

63 Jax Jones ft. RAYE – You Don’t Know Me

64 Lorde – Writer In The Dark

65 Kelly Clarkson – Move You

66 Francesca Michielin – Io non abito al mare

67 Sigrid – Don’t Kill My Vibe

68 Dagny – Wearing Nothing

69 Sabrina Carpenter – Thumbs

70 Olivia Holt – Generous

Generous was a BJSC smash in the most recent contest I hosted, entered by Ultraviolenceland who still have an entry to come! This is a perfect pop bop, very much akin to a Julia Michaels written track, it reminds me a lot of hands To Myself by Selena Gomez in particular. Being one of the best writers in pop, there are definitely far worst comparisons to be made!

Thumbs WOULD have been another UVland smash, but it was vetoed </3 This is so well produced, written and sung with a really addictive syncopated rhythm and slight jazzy feel to the vocals that makes it a fairly unique sounding pop song you just want more and more of.

Back to actual BJSC entries, and one was that recently ROBBED in TBO. Wearing Nothing is a flawless pop song, it's very blog pop but in the best way. It doesn't have a huge chorus to build up to, but the subtle chorus satisfies just enough to keep you hooked, while leaving you wanting more and more listens of the song.

Don't Kill My Vibe was a shock hit that made waves all over the internet over a new release by Katy Perry, ad its easy to see why. It'sclear to see how Sigrid is one of the best new writers in pop, with perfect lyrics and a huge chorus that all contribute to a dynamic pop song.

Io non abito al mare is one of the few foreign language tracks in this countdown! At first I was a bit disappointed, but this track has such a subtle beauty to it that just grows and grows. Melodically it's stunning and when you translate the lyrics you really appreciate the meaning behind it.

Move You is easily the highlight of Kelly's recent album, such a gorgeous gosepl influenced track! The lyrics are simple but stunning, it's nothing revolutionary at all overall but a powerful and moving (lolz) vocal from Kelly makes it an essential.

Writer In The Dark is an equally stunning ballad, this time from Lorde. With more than a fleck of Kate Bush, this is among the best her voice has sounded imo, with bags of range, warmth and character painting a beautiful story.

You Don't Know Me is one of the most effortlessly cool songs of the year! With a lot of dull and repetitive tropical house and samey future bass I was totally in love with a track with a bit of sass and groove to it.

Voiceless is one of my own BJSC entries, finishing top 20 and doing well to combat the fact it missed out on becoming Poland's Eurovision entry :kink: I love her vocals and the way it builds, it really reminds me of a poppified version of Faded by Alan Walker.

Don't Blame Me is another Reputation track, the third to be in this countdown. This is a total banger, the chorus is just huge and elevates the whole song and lyrically it's probably one of my faves on the album.

My Fave in that section is You Don't Know Me so refreshing for a dance DJ to create some sassy dance Bops :cheer:

Gonna echo the love for Writer In The Dark my favourite album track from Melodrama

Wearing Nothing is incredible easily one if Ashton's best of the year along with Pinnicle.

How was Thumbs not pushed properly here :(

Also Don't Blame and Don't Kill My Vibe!

I Fall Apart is amazing as well, really slow burner for me.

Don't Kill My Vibe was really good pop, was hoping that would take off here but shame it wasn't to be.

You Don't Know Me I tired off really quickly sadly, otherwise it's a great house track.

Is that supposed to say Sabrina Carpenter? If so then  Amazing song, loved the lyrics and the rhythm is just the cherry on the cake!

You Don't Know Me is great as well, loved the house-y sound it came with and wish he'd release something similar to that and House Work :music:

"Don’t Blame Me": Not bad, Taylor has done much worse.

"You Don’t Know Me": Great song, glad that became a hit!

"Writer In The Dark": Wonderful song from Lorde!

"Io non abito al mare": I like Francesca Michielin and for me it's a step up from "Vulcano".

"Don’t Kill My Vibe": Nice song from a promising artist!

"One Foot": Decent song, but disappointing from Walk The Moon

"Beautiful Trauma": One of the best songs from her new album

"I Fall Apart": I don't like the song, I get why people like the song, it's a emotional ballad, but it's weird coming from Post Malone of all people

"No Roots": Great song, I'm so glad it became a hit where I came from!

"Heaven": Great song

"Call It What You Want": Good song, not my favourite song from reputation, but still good!

"Alone": Nice song from Jessie Ware!

"Sorry Not Sorry": Great song and I like the sample of "No Problem" from Chance The Rapper.

"OMG": Not as good as "Havana", but Camila's performance saves this song.

Nice to see that N.1 album... although I feel strange when listening to some songs (like End Game). Nice to see Getaway Car entering the Year End Chart, probably a Top5 from the album :P

I like a lot Love So Soft, at first I liked more Move You but after the second listen (i think releasing the video that early) made me choose Love So Soft

Best Behaviour :cheer:

If I'm honest, I hated Sorry Not Sorry at first, I like a lot Demi and that song was very bad for her standards  That's why I didn't listen to the song when months passed and the song started to go down on the charts and now I quite like it (it is nice but It wouldn't make my Year End Chart).

Thumbs could have been so huge, it did ok off of nothing in the US so it could have done so well with a bit too!

Yeah it was oops, dunno why i put Washington, clearly the pop classic OMG is on my mind

I like that he keeps doing different things but another one like YDKM would be fab!

Gonna pretend you didn't say that about Vulcano :o :kink: Absolute 11/10 banger.

Thanks for all the comments/love!

I was the same with SNS, I was SO disappointed which was odd as I was always thinking that soul/R&B would be a good direction for her!

Gonna pretend you didn't say that about Vulcano :o :kink: Absolute 11/10 banger.

"Vulcano" and "Io Non Abito Al Mare" are both great songs.

And come to think of that, both songs are bangers from Francesca Michielin.

I'm not saying that "Vulcano" is bad, not at all!
