reputation is absolutely brilliant, I was a bit sceptical before listening as LWYMMD grew old quickly and RFI/Gorgeous are kinda below par for Taylor for me (the latter in particular), but she proved me wrong and I shouldn't have ever doubted her

Favourite songs so far are Hair Down, F.F.F., Your Song, Most Girls and Malibu! Requiem was one of my Eurovision highlights too :D Great stuff so far Liam, keep it coming!

Oh great to see a mention for Stormzy's album, the only artist album I bought this year!

Really liked Requiem in Euro but didn't translate so well to a studio version I felt.

Gypsy is catchy as hell, my fave BJSC winner this year.

After finally listening to Reputation I can safely say it is a great album. I have a lot of favorites from it

I also love Melodrama so much yas for the Writer In The Dark love

Songs I like in the first two sections:

111 Rita Ora – Your Song

112 Kelsea Ballerini – Legends

113 Hailee Steinfeld - Most Girls

115 Misterwives – Machine

117 Miley Cyrus - Malibu

Hi Liam

I am feeling a bit offended at how low Rita is tbh, Anywhere is obviously the better banger but Your Song is such a solid pop song and I'm glad it was such a big hit for her. I don't know if she'll ever top I Will Never Let You Down for me though...

Malibu is also one of my favourite songs of the year. The trashy Bangerz era Miley was definitely a lot of fun but she sounds so much more at home on a track like this and it really does suit her. A bit gutted Younger Now has been such a commercial flop of her because both the single and album are fantastic in my opinion

I've barely even touvhed the album oops, I said for ages her voice suits that kind of thing after her backyard Sessions, but it ust had no impact on me :(

I like Malibu and Your Song

Awaken My Love and After Laughter are pretty good.

Speaking of the former, one of my friends did an instrumental electric guitar reindition of Me And Your Mama in a recital.

Omg yas that's cool

I was so surprised by Stormzy for a grime artist!!

Lorde queen of Kate Bush esque ballads *.*

Two great BJSC entries in Machine and Gypsy there! Both received high marks from me!

101 Francesco Gabbani – Occidentali’s Karma

102 Paramore – Told You So

103 Kelsea Ballerini – Miss Me More

104 Ace Wilder – Wild Child

105 Rhys – Last Dance

106 Pink – What About Us?

107 J Balvin & Willy Willam – Mi Gente

108 Marshmello x Selena Gomez –Wolves

109 Bhad Bhabie – These Heaux

110 Louisa Johnson – Best Behaviour

Best Behaviour is probably a tad overrated on here but ofc I do really enjoy it! It's a bop and quite similar to a Zara Larsson song I eel, could've been a sequel to Lush Life perhaps. Still waiting on that album from Louisa :drama:

These Heaux is almost certainly the most questionable inclusion on this but TUNE idc xo Better known as Danielle Bregoli aka "Cash Me Outside girl", Bhad Bhabie has got a 5 million record deal undr her belt and this is actually such a catchy song to launch her oops.

Wolves is a fairly recent release, it might released earlier in the year. Probably one of the weaker Selena singles for a while but still a bop, quite Avicii - Wake Me Up exept not absolute shite x

Mi Gente is a banger, I'm glad it idn't need a pointless English translation to cross over (although we did get a Beyonce remix that didn't add much after it was a hit)! The production is banging and being in Spanish just makes it sound better than a lot of similar songs that would be generic.

What About Us? was a powerful statement of a comeback for the eternally relevant queen that is Pink, and was a huge hit to boot. It has slight clubby influences with its EDM ballad production but isn't at all out of Pink's comfort zone.

Last Dance was a BJSC smash for Rhys, it is quite Spotify playlist but in the best way, a fabulous pop song with a catchy af chorus and a great drop.

Wild Child was a 3rd try for Ace in Melfest, after missing out by 1 point in 2014 and coming 3rd in 2016. Both of those made my top 20 of the year, so this is a bit of a drop, but still a bop. This was not 3rd time lucky for Ace, as it finished 7th with its carefree and fun boppy vibe and huge catchy chorus.

Miss Me More is a BANGER, it could have easily been on Red for Taylor Swift which makes one wonder if Kelsea could do a Taylor? Its often hard for country artits to have songs like this on an album without it feeling out of place, but this fits in so well.

Told You So is the first appearance from Paramore's 80s influenced album, and the 2nd single released from it. This is so catchy, especially the "throw me into the fire" bits.

Occidentali's Karma falls just before the top 100! This was the Italian entry to Euroision 2017 and was looking like a certain winner but only finished 6th in the end. I love it still, it's so uplifting and the instrumental droppy bit after the chorus always makes me want to wave my arms around doing the dance he does with the gorilla, such a fun song!

:hi: Liam!!

Occidentali’s Karma !! Completely forgot that even existed. It was definitely one of my big highlights from Eurovision so I'm a bit gutted that all of the hype couldn't even get it top 5 in the leaderboard in the end. As you mentioned, the gorilla dance made it a whole lot of fun

Yay at Wolves making it in despite being fairly recently too. I'd be lying if I didn't prefer the more sultry sound she was going with with tracks like Fetish and Good for You but it's still a banger and at least it has given her another hit :cheer:

Nice to see Mi Gente here! It was great to see a latin song go Top 10 without the need for a famous endorsement!

Occidentali's Karma was a great Eurovision entry as well! Certainly grew on me after the show!

I always like a Eurovision shock but not when I like the song and it comparitively flops </3

Britain in not being xenophobic shocker xo

91 Tove Lo – Disco Tits

92 Lights – Savage

93 SZA - Prom

94 Sigrid – Plot Twist

95 Maroon 5 ft. SZA – What Lovers Do

96 Avicii ft. Rita Ora – Lonely Together

97 DiHaj – Skeletons

98 Khalid – Location

99 Lorde – Homemade Dynamite

100 Anja Nissen – Where I Am

Where I Am is another Eurovision entry, this time Denmark's! Anja is known for winning The Voie in Australia and finally won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on her 2nd try with this lovely R&B midtempo. This really harks back to the 90s, which is a perfect sound for Anja's smooth yet soulful and powerful voice. This really should have snatched top 10 in Eurovision but it just qualified (it would have DNQd under the old voting method, eek) and came 20th in the final.

Homemade Dynamite is the first entry from the 2nd best album of the year, and its 2nd single. This is more subtle than its name suggests, but is filled with the clever lyrics, intricate melodies and pop perfection that permeates all of its parent album.

Location is by an artist who featured on a remix of the previous song in this countdown, Khalid. This is a perfect R&B jam, Khalid's deep and soulful voice lamens the fact we are all so glued to our phones that you need to use social media etc. to even see someone physically.

Skeletons is Eurovision again, this time from Azerbaijan. This song is huge, with symphonic rock influences, a huge step up from most previous Azerbaijani entries (except Drip Drop, tune) which tend to be basic ballads. This is not typical Eurovision really but did well enough and came 14th.

Lonely Together marks an appearance for Avicii in my EOY, shocker :o One of the very few good songs he's done, it sounds nothing like hideous atrocities like Wake Me Up and Hey Brother which can only be a good thing. RIta doesn't sound much like herself but the effects on her voice actually sound nice and hte production is lovely.

What Lovers Do is the first appearance from almost queen of 2017 albums SZA, as a feature! This is a total bop, Maroon 5 stray further and further from their roots by basically plagarising NEIKED - Sexual but it is SO catchy and Adam and SZA blend quite well together actually.

Plot Twist is the first appearance by one of the huge new stars of 2017 Sigrid. This embodies exactly why she is a flawless pop songwriter, with melodies that draw you in and capture you and a huge chorus that impacts you head on at 100mph.

Prom is another SZA appearance, this time solo. Arguably one of the more poppy tracks on the album, it has been compared to The Police. Its angsty lyrics make it relatable while seeming like its straight from SZA's heart and own experience, as always elucidatd by her sexy and super smooth vocal.

Savage is easily the best song from the recent Lights album, no wonder with input from Josh Dunn of Twenty One Pilots *.* This has a rocky edge to it, which strangely really suits Lights' usually quite sweet sounding voice.

Disco Tits closes this section in a crazy way, being one of the oddest songs of the year. Tove decided she didn't care about what was commercially appealng or acceptable, named her album after a vagina that hasn't got enough pleasure and penned this song which proclaims how hard her nipples are for someone, but we wouldn't have it any other way x

Hi Liam

Gah at Lonely Together being so low, I think it is one of the absolute best tracks that either artist has put out! Omg at Hey Brother shade too, that was my favourite Avicii track for quite some time

Yay at the Khalid inclusion too, still a bit gutted that Location didn't cross over to the UK chart. I was hoping it was gonna be huge for ages but just nothing seemed to happen in the end

Hi!

Disco Tits  it's so insane but that's kinda what makes it so special tbh

Really like Plot Twist, especially the Disciples remix, but still waiting for her to get a hit tho

Location, Homemade Dynamite and Lonely Together are all great too :music:

Again like the Eurovision entries on this! Where I Am was an instant love whilst Skeletons grew on me after, certainly my favourite of the two now!

It's so much better than YDB but i do love that too, Location is just too good.

81 Taylor Swift – Getaway Car

82 Vera Blue – Lady Powers

83 Post Malone ft. 21 Savage – Rockstar

84 Bebe Rexha – I Got You

85 Tinashe – Flame

86 Dua Lipa – IDGAF

87 SZA – The Weekend

88 Pvris - Separate

89 Maren Morris ft. Vince Gill – Dear Hate

90 Kelly Clarkson – Love So Soft

Love So Soft took a while to grow on me, but I never should've doubted Kelly as I can't be mad at her for long :kink: This is such a bop , it has the sass of Meghan Trainor but with Kelly's soulful power behind it, you can't go wrong really.

Dear Hate is a stunningly simple song, powerfully released after the Las Vegas shooting. This is one that's so powerfully emotional I don't go back to it as much as I could because it makes me tear up a bit, the way she writes and sings it is so touching with the context around it </3

Separate is the first appearance from one of the best albums of the year from rock band Pvris! This is a huge rock ballad that proves Lynn Gunn can bring the power and emotion in equal measure with her incredible voice.

The Weekend is one of the highlights from SZA's incredible debut, and also one of her two top 40 hits in the US this year. This smooth sexy R&B song sees a cheating relationship from a unique perspective - the side chick. As well as the main chick through the week, the 9-5, the side chick satisfies her man on weekends, but she wants more than that.

IDGAF is the recently announced 7th (!!!) single (8th if we include Be The One twice!!) from Dua's album. It's definitely the best song left, with its scathing and carefree lyrics that hear Dua flip off an ex who wants to ride the coattails of her new fame.

Flame was a real pop money shot for Tinashe, and it still flopped on its arse </3 If Sia warbled her way through this I'm sure it'd be top 10 for weeks on end but Tinashe catches no breaks ever :drama:

I Got You really should've been Bebe's breakthrough solo hit </3 It's bang on trend but is still very her and isn't jumping on trends for the sake of it.

Rockstar is one of the surprises of the year for me! I'd usually absolutely hate songs like this, but it's SUCH a banger *.* I was more than happy for this to be number 1 and I'm actually looking forward to Post Malone's album now.

Lady Powers is an absolute bop fom Vera, should've launched the album tbh, Blog pop fave all over, it's so cool and collected but a pop bop at the same time.

Getaway Car is the first song to appear from the album of the year *.* This is a fabulous 80s tinged all out pop song, prduced immacuately like Jack Antonoff. Definitely the most 1989esque song on the album and that is never a bad thing!

Oooomg I already forgot about Dear Hate (due to not going back to it for the same reason), WHAT a song :'( Maren can do no wrong, amazing that she wrote it 3 years ago!

Rockstar was a major surprise for me too, I never thought I'd even make it through a Post Malone song from beginning to end let alone enjoy it

What Lovers Do is one of their best in years! Just so catchy.

Great to see Rockstar here, one of my fave UK #1s in a long, long time. I'm still playing it loads even now, also looking forward to hearing his new album now!

Love that "Getaway Car" is in your Year-End List, it's the best song from her new album!

It's great that "IDGAF" is in your Year-End List, it deserves to be a single!

Forgot how "Dear Hate" was very good! It is very great and a touching song after the Las Vegas Shooting.
