I'm hoping something will come along in the new year to dethrone it, I'm leaning towards 5-6 weeks at the moment. Will Wham! get there next week, or even Mariah, bearing in mind Ed will be performing on Strictly Dancing final and 2 performances on TOTP (Xmas Day and New Year's Day editions) and on the Jools Holland Annual Hootenay show :drama:

5-6 weeks maximum. It’s still getting plenty of exposure with TV shows and a new remix coming out but this is a track which has been around a while now so unlikely to match the longevity of shape of you.

6 or 7 weeks I'm thinking, it'll take a big release to knock it off when Xmas songs leave and Rita and Camila hit ACR

Depends how many "remixes" and duet partners he has lined up.

 

Rumour has it Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Bieber, Michelle McManus and Ariana Grande are all next in line to be shoehorned into "Perfect", so a good few months yet.

No longer than 6 weeks I think. Besides ACR will hit it soon enough provided he doesn't play the system by doing big promo for it every 3 weeks.

 

Ed will probably replace himself as the featured artist on Eminem's newie.

I'm betting 3 weeks like Fireflies and Good Times did in 2010.

Two weeks, as Wham! will knock him off for xmas.

Surely its streams will surge after xmas when it is featured in end of year countdown playlists. I don't really see any competition for it right now bar the 300/1 rule.

Well this is true, I was getting mixed up with the different versions again lol - still think his lead isn't as much as Rockstar and the likes and can see The River taking over in January!!

I can't see it being no.1 for that long, I think it will struggle this week tbh. I voted for 3 weeks but I think he'll topple himself with Eminem.
