Love that it’s going to pass Platinum this year - just wish some of her other more iconic tracks could have done the same!

At least it will be another platinum for her although sometimes I feel it's kylies only fake hit in many senses as some other singles that sold less feel bigger and had more of an impact if that makes sense,, better the devil you know and all the lovers been just 2 examples.

I’m just grateful she has two songs achieving mega playlist streams.

Both keep accelerating year on year as streaming becomes even more pronounced and they’re added to yet more playlists.

It’s heartening to see other songs of hers at least be added to some decent playlists …Spinning Around and Loco making big gains relative to her catalogue. Loco would have way more streams by now if it had been on streaming platforms for longer.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Santa Baby is on the cusp of platinum already…let’s hope it’s certified officially and it’s announced by the OCC.

Climbs from 77 to 58 on Spotify with 121,804 streams.

Drops to #107 today with 73,242 streams, big drops for most Christmas songs.

Id say tomorrow and Thursday will be good days for Christmas songs getting streamed.

1st December is historically a huge day for Christmas songs….which is good as Wednesday is the 1st so it’ll mean they won’t be estimated for Friday’s chart.

Seems as though people are starting the festive period even earlier this year so the 1st bump may not Beas noticeable. Makes me a little sad that more and more people are forgetting Christmas starts on the 25th December and lasts until 5th January.

For me Christmas is now December 1st until January 2nd, our house we have the tree on and up for the 1st and we take it down on the 2nd,.but the 1st would be a big day for us playing Christmas music and pretty much like that for the first couple of days, its a bit more spread out after that.
I feel totally weird listening to Christmas songs from Boxing Day onwards.

For me Christmas is totally finished after the day itself.

This! Christmas/Boxing day is me done for the year

I don't listen to Christmas music after St Stephens Day, it feels pointless by that stage.
It does wear off at that point, I enjoy it the mist over the next week and then again as run into christmas itself.
Just look how easy it is when you get on playlists.....

Christmas is very different, because everyone is streaming the same songs. It doesn't mean that a regular Kylie single on regular playlists will automatically be a top 40 hit.

The playlists do help as people listen to songs that they may not necessarily select themselves, i think with Kylie in the ideal world when people hear santa baby on a playlist it would prompt them to stream some other songs from her but it doesnt seem to happen.

Non-mover today on Spotify at #107 but streams have increased to 74,206

Fingers crossed for a huge 1/12 increase.

Positive news is that many of KCSQ tracks seem to be doing better this year, especially the Frank Sinatra duet.

I genuinely think, sadly, for a large amount of people 'Santa Baby' appearing on the Christmas playlist they're listening to is the only time they acknowledge Kylie exists.

Sadly that's probably very true, a large percentage of Kylie fans buy her albums and listen to the actual cds/vinyls and been honest i am one of those myself, im not a huge streaming person but when i do i often stream Kylie for convenience but mostly i listen to her cds and genuinely think many many others are the same.
This is an issue that not only Kylie faces but so many other artists, they can't compete on streaming but their fanbase remain loyal on physical album sales.
