12 8.05 'Shout Out to My Ex’

And a third consecutive Platinum single bites the dust before the top 10, and this time it's their highest selling single! 'Shout Out To My Ex' will, very shortly become Little Mix's first ever double platinum single. It's a single that did incredible well for them upon release, bursting in at #1 with 3 days less sales than usual. The track is a bit "Disney" which puts some people off, but it's still a fun anthem with a memorable and catchy hook. Maybe a bit of a shock for some people to see this one place as low as #12, it's a 5 place drop from the last rate where it got to #7!

 

 

 

So predictions please, which of these last 11 songs is going to drop out before the top 10?

Yikes at SOTME. It's probably my least favourite of the GD singles, but I'd still rate it ahead of SLS, DNA, Black Magic, and especially IYLE?. It's such an anthem.

 

Prediction wise, I'd guess either SLS or IYLE? dropping out before the top 10.

Yes!!!!!!!! I’m pleased Love Me Like You is still in, it really is one of the best girl band tracks of this decade, if not all time :wub:

Waaaay too low for Shout Out to My Ex. :( It's my second favourite song of theirs, such an anthem. Oh well!

 

 

SOTME is a pure popgasm tbh. It's so infectious and it's not hard to see why it's their biggest seller. One of the catchiest, most radio friendly singles. Sad and surprised to see it miss the top 10 :(

I shouldn't complain as I didn't vote - but I can't believe Shout Out To My Ex and Wings are lower than the awful Reggaetón Lento! :o :puke:

SOTME is probably more like a 3 than a 0, but I was hungover when I voted and feeling particularly venomous towards it.

 

Delighted to see it this low. It seriously grates on me, it makes me want to break something!

Are you kidding me? Not impressed, although can't say I didn't see it coming a mile away. How it's not everyone's 11 is beyond me. #YetAnotherRig?

 

I'm rooting for Move at this point although I think Touch has this in the bag, and that's fine with me - it's a jam.

 

RL should go next, it's definitely overstayed it's welcome.

And we end on our fourth consecutive platinum single missing the top 10. This time, to my shock (and I'm sure lots more of you) it's Little Mix's most known and iconic hit, 'Black Magic', which gave them the fame they have now. 'Black Magic' got a lot of 9 and 9.5s, but it was killed off by those two -1s, sadly, falling 2-4-11 in the singles rates. 'Black Magic' is bubblegum pop at its finest and one of the girl's most instant bangers. I think it's fair to say it was robbed of a place in the top 5, let alone top 10!

'Black Magic' is another Popgasm!! It came at the perfect time for them and it really is the song that put them on notice/is responsible for where they're at in their careers.

 

I think they have done better and I'm glad to see majority of them have beat it. If this was "Rate Little Mix Most Iconic Singles" or something, then I'd be fuming. But I'm not too mad though tbh. Not as mad as I am at a certain position for a song in the top 10 though!!! (More to come on that)

Ooft, shocked at that! Their two biggest sellers bowing out back-to-back. 'Black Magic' is great and I really fail to see how it can inspire two -1s, but I must admit I do prefer every GW and GD single over it. I'll still always be grateful for what it did for their career -- I doubt LM would even still be around without it.

!!! no way has 'Black Magic' finished so low :o I know there are vocal haters (like myself x) but I thought it had a massive outpouring of love that would offset that, was expecting top 5. Oops. Not complaining though x

WHAT A f***ING MESS!?!?!?!?

 

'Black Magic' finishing eleventh is absolute f***ING TRAGIC. It's annoying because 'Is Your Love Enough' is not top 10 material and I'm guessing it would finish around #12-15 had this rate been next year. This is honestly so frustrating because 'Black Magic' is in my top three Little Mix songs behind 'No More Sad Songs' and 'Secret Love Song'. I'm honestly so annoyed, why the f*** did I not vote?

 

I'm HERE for a MELTDOWN once 'Touch' ones and I will correctly inform you that IT'S BY FAR THE MOST OVERRATED SINGLES by Little Mix who are actually have a rather flawless singles discography (although 'DNA' singles have all aged horribly, I can't even listen to 'DNA' now which was my favourite single by them for a couple of years'.

 

I'm glad to see 'Love Me Like You Do' finishing top 10, it's an unrecognised bop. I'm hoping 'Power' is out next or 'Is Your Love Enough' but I expect 'No More Sad Songs' because this is all a f***ING SHAMBLES.
