January 8, 20188 yr He won't. He's had his Christmas number one now, he needs 'Perfect' to start falling down the chart so he can push a new single and premiere a remix (probably featuring a rapper) at the BRITs and catapult that to #1.
January 8, 20188 yr but hasnt Perfect dropped in sales for the last 3 weeks already? very disappointing start for justin with the so-called comeback of the year :/ hope the great showman ends up at #1 in albums, all tracks are doing very well on spotify so they could catch ed at the last minute
January 8, 20188 yr YES at This Is Me being top 20. Is too 15 come Friday too much to ask for? Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
January 8, 20188 yr The Greatest Showman Album is not that far behind Ed and has some momentum but it may be a tough task to overcome him this week given the streaming advantage Divide will have. I am really not sure what Album Sales Camila will get next week but The Greatest Showman may prevent her from debuting at #1 unless she can exceed 20k.
January 8, 20188 yr ^it's the other way around, the soundtrack has the streaming advantage, check the spotify charts the greatest showman tracks are at: 21, 26, 40, 50, 51, 54, 57, 60, 73, 83, 103 divide: 20, 22, 55, 58, 84, 125, 136, 142, 174
January 8, 20188 yr Ok fair enough, looking at that then it should remain close as the week goes on - hope The Greatest Showman can make it this week!

He's had his Christmas number one now, he needs 'Perfect' to start falling down the chart so he can push a new single and premiere a remix (probably featuring a rapper) at the BRITs and catapult that to #1. He should pick “Nancy Mulligan” as his next single with it coming up to St Patrick’s Day
January 8, 20188 yr He should pick “Nancy Mulligan” as his next single with it coming up to St Patrick’s Day That's basically Galway Girl pt 2 so I doubt he'd go with that. I hope he goes with an upbeat one rather than a ballad though. Edited January 8, 20188 yr by M4NG0
January 8, 20188 yr For all we know Ed Sheeran could be releasing a different track altogether as a BRITs exclusive, and could be collaborating with someone like JT. ;) or Miss Piggy :heehee: Just imagine Ed Sheeran collaborating with The Muppets or Big Bird :D
January 8, 20188 yr Hoping this will be the week for 'I Miss You' to finally go top 5 and continue Clean Bandit's impressive streak of top 5 hits since 'Rather Be' (excluding poor brave 'Come Over').
January 8, 20188 yr He won't follow 'Perfect' up with another ballad, he isn't stupid. I expect it will be 'New Man' with a remix featuring one or more of; Yungen, Not3s, J Hus, Mr Eazi, Yxng Bane, Kojo Funds, MoStack - to get the support of the large number of Spotify users who are into UK rap and also so the BRITs can once again claim to have diversity in their performers when Ed brings them out on stage for a guest rap.
January 8, 20188 yr If he's going by the tactic of releasing the songs in the order they reached in the charts the next single will be New Man :P That would certainly accommodate a bonus rap verse ;)
January 8, 20188 yr So basically Ed will have the #1 single until June and #1 album every other week until November :D
January 8, 20188 yr New Man is Ed sheeran at his worst, he shouldn't try to rap, he cannot, he should stick to recreate ballads in the style of westlife
January 8, 20188 yr but wouldn't this be the 3rd week in a row that perfect drops in sales? he did 85,4 k on Xmas 75,6K the week after Xmas 57K last week if this week perfect drops again, that's 3 in a row, so acr should be applied this week already right?
