I'd be up for 'New Man' being released as a single with a rapper on it... I think Yxng Bane would suit it very well and he already has a very popular remix of 'Shape Of You'.

New Man is Ed sheeran at his worst, he shouldn't try to rap, he cannot, he should stick to recreate ballads in the style of westlife

In my opinion he has ‘rapped’ quite well in a few songs. You Need Me is a good example

4 Liam Payne & Rita Ora - For You (9.9k) *

mess

yet you wouldn't call a Niall single limping in at #27 a mess would you :P

Yeh that's my fav if his!

I'd like What Do I Know to be the next single!

I expect 'What Do I Know?' probably will be the next single if he is doing one, he's done a little bit of promo with it already (the Comic Relief thing). Both that and 'New Man' would make fine singles. Anything but another ballad pls as the ballads on this album really aren't great.
Greatest Showman for the #1 album pleaseeeee! So close to Ed too! (Obvz Ed is gonna take it though :()

but I thought the rule was that

if you decline for 3 weeks, then acr is applied already on the 3rd week, not the 4th, haven't we seen this is a lot of times already?

or am i confused?

No, it's always been applied *after* three weeks of decline, otherwise we'd be seeing a song switch from SCR in the midweeks to ACR come Friday and that's never happened.

Seeing "I Miss You" outpeak "Tears" would be ridiculous. Though I wouldn't be shocked to see Ramz climb to 4 by Sunday. Think "Tears" underperformed, and would've been a number 1 hit a year later... of course it was also out amidst some HUGE hits compared to now.

Also disappointed to see that MK is no longer heading for a new peak with "17".

Worldwide IMY has nearly overtaken Tears' total stream count on Spotify, I think it's fair to say it is a more popular song. It will probably out-sell Tears in the UK also.

I think "Tears" was the platform for "Rockabye" to be as big as it was; I think a different order of releases would have seen a completely different result. Just a thought anyway!

Is P!nk's album still #7?

I really like "I Miss You", so am glad to see it get a new peak if it holds! Glad to see Bruno/Cardi holding onto a top 10 placing. Perhaps it can even increase a place or two with it rising nicely on spotify!

I'd agree that 'I Miss You' is the bigger hit globally, but it's worth noting that it's not a very even comparison as 'Tears' didn't get a Today's Top Hits push, making it much harder for it to chart outside the UK than the heavily-playlisted 'I Miss You'. (Granted, I do think 'I Miss You' is more playlist-friendly anyway.) A comparable case is Matoma, who has near-even Spotify plays for 'Running Out' (139 million) and 'False Alarm' (137 million), but the former lasted a good 6 months on Today's Top Hits and crashed afterwards, while 'False Alarm' was never included.
