Haha Pippa I always start from 100 too as work up. I knew she would be top 100 so we getting excited 😂😂

I really like the Anton Powers mixes also. I didn't at first but they are really good.

Streaming of Dancing orginal version worldwide was 100,000 on Friday 5.88m went to 5.98m so UK will have a fair few of those and with all the remixes now I think she is actually increasing her streaming levels of Dancing. It could hold up quite well this week

I find its steady and slow climb on the German Itunes quite interesting, its been creeping up the chart for 2 weeks and now cracked the top 40 at #39. (I know sales figures are not high but its an indicator of the song's performance there and with German promo coming as Dancing will be the promo song for a German TV show etc, it will be exciting to see how well it will perform)

Although sales around 40K in the UK for a single that never went top 40 is quite good, Into the blue in comparison stands at 60K sales with a top 20 placement in 2014.

So all in all, if we consider Dancing to be at the end of its run this week which might see it chart inside the top 100 for the last time, and with Sales around 40K, it matches Some kind of bliss that went nbr 22 and had 45K sales 21 years ago.

If Dancing hadn't leaked and was properly released as planned, it would have no doubt been in the top 30 and labelled as a success.

40k sold outside of the Top 40 these days isn't particularly impressive. However, I can see Dancing outdoing Into the Blue by the end of its run which I'd say is good going for Kylie, especially when Into the Blue opened with well over 20k and initially had some Capital support.
Kylie - and by extension her "team" - isn't interested in hit singles. They know it's hopeless. What they're hoping for is a Rick Astley album run.
I don’t know why people always decide artists’ teams ‘don’t want hits’ anymore. Sure the album is going to be a bigger selling point but what team is going to be like ‘let’s make sure we don’t have any hits this era’ having hits makes a lot more money for an era and keeps albums selling for a lot longer. It’s a silly logic.
Agreed, I think any artist and label would be interested in achieving hit singles if they possibly could, but some are struggling in this streaming dominated era. Kylie is certainly accustomed to achieving hit singles, having achieved 50 Top 40 hits over 30 years, so I would imagine #47 has come as a disappointment, even if she has an understanding that streaming makes things more difficult.

I think what he meant was they have to approach this with a realistic viewpoint. In 2018 with commercial radio not playlisting her and Spotify not giving her playlisting support there's only so far a single can go for her.

Well she keeps visiting Spotify so what is she doing!!!!!!!!! Lol. Doesn't seem to help

Sadly the remixes aren't being streamed much at all

Initial Talk total Spotify streams 129,160 worldwide since release

Illyus and Barrientos Spotify streams 34,199 worldwide since release

Anton Powers not sure of data yet

Dancing total Spotify streams 6,075,149 worldwide

Also from today's mids...

31-40

31 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - It's a Beautiful World

Apparently that's down to physicals? Surely Kylie can get a similar sort of boost in a couple of weeks when the 'Dancing' physical is released?

I'd say it's possible, especially as the 'Dancing' vinyl has been included in one of the Golden bundles as well as now being available to purchase separately from some stores.

Two Kylie songs in the top 75 at the one time is marvelous to see, Dancing at 57 and Stop Me From Falling at 65.

If both remain, top 100 on the Friday chart it will be wonderful.

Yes on the Noel Gallagher point, Kylie is a big physical seller when she does the singles so it will have benefits to her chart positions i would hope in the coming weeks.

I can't find which stores it's available separately from! (Apart from HMV Ireland and Amazon Germany). It's definitely not on Amazon UK or HMV UK.

Week-by-week sales:

#47: 8,201

OUT

#93: 3,453

OUT

#50: 7,498

#61: 5,563

Total: 38,252

Note that the weekly sales have a 150:1 stream/sales ratio and the total figures is 100:1.
