Posted January 12, 20187 yr Finally, after three EPs Hayley Kiyoko is releasing her first full length album this year! (in 20gayteen as she's rebranding it). She's a sort of indie-pop artist i guess, she's been on the rise since 2015 I'd say and is very much an artist that's on the verge of smashing. She's released three songs from her upcoming album which I think is due out in the spring, Wikipedia says March 30th but I can't find any confirmation of that. Hayley has confirmed that she's playing Coachella in April though so it makes sense! She also mentioned #Spring when revealing the album art (above) on Instagram. I've adored the songs shes put out so far so I'm hyped about this album! I feel like it's long over due for her to release a full album as her EPs have been amazing too, i think this album could be what does it for her though! One of her main points as an artist is that she is gay and unapologetically sings about her love life making it clear she's singing about girls which isn't something you hear all that often. Even the likes of Muna or Pvris or Shura tend to use neutral pronouns in their lyrics but Hayley doesn't and it's really refreshing and it's whats gotten her a solid fan base already I think, aside from it just being damn good pop music *.* She's dropping music videos for everything as well and she directs and produces on them herself which is cool, they're lowkey like mini movies and you can tell it's 100% her vision to match her sound. There's just a lot of artistry through every layer of her stuff which I love. W6jxPFtIAnw TV-_Yuc228s YXTzMOmmEfE
February 14, 20187 yr Curious is still my fav song of 2018! Radio 1 have given it a couple of plays this week. I ordered the signed Vinyl a few weeks ago too.
March 6, 20187 yr Curious and Feelings are so good  Really excited for this album, especially that she has a collab with Kehlani on it!
April 6, 20187 yr This album is being slept on, it's so good! 'What I Need' is such a good song, I'd love it to somehow be a hit or get some sort of attention.
April 6, 20187 yr The album is alright but a bit samey imo, What I Need and Curious are bops of life tho
April 6, 20187 yr The album is alright but a bit samey imo, What I Need and Curious are bops of life thoAgreed with this. Although I had no expectations really, so it's a nice discovery, even if a bit samey.
April 8, 20187 yr Author Genuinely most of Hayleys songs are growers so like u really need to give the less instant songs a few plays tbh, the album is so artfully put together it's actually stunning, it's not obvious in all of the songs but the whole thing is built around different water sounds which is really cool imo, it flows so effortlessly and is a really aesthetic album which is something few artists are able to get across just via their sound but every song gives you a different mental image, i just really love it and is probably already one of my all time faves
June 1, 20187 yr Hayley just dropped the video of the year in 'What I Need', which is also one of the songs of the year tbh  So good. Her chemistry with Kehlani is unreal - I would love it to be a hit but I'm sure the straights will make sure that doesn't happen.
June 1, 20187 yr Author omg It's SO good, probs my fave from the album and the video was amazing, I love Hayley as a directer as well, all of her videos could legit be full length movies tbh
June 2, 20187 yr LOVE it And I can't help but think it's a definite clapback to 'Girls' now... Halsey just needs to give us a Strangers video now to complete the set...
June 2, 20187 yr Author Tbh if you look at all of Hayleys videos they're v cinematic and portray same sex love in a way we rarely see it so I don't think its a purposeful clap back at Girls, it was probs done before it's release anyway but other artists can defo take notes from her as this is how a gay song SHOULD be done
