February 16, 20188 yr Poor Calvin missing out on the top 40. I suppose the song is just too good to chart.
February 16, 20188 yr I'm not a fan of the James Bay single either but it's not exactly basic, another 'Let It Go' snoozefest would be basic.
February 16, 20188 yr Afternoon all :hi: I have not heard any of the likely new entries this week so I hope at least one of 'em will be a good discovery. I adored 'Silence' by Marshmello but really disliked 'Wolves', so I hope the Anne-Marie collab will be more to my tastes than the latter was :P RETRO TOP 3s 2016 01. Little Mix - 'Touch' 02. Dua Lipa - 'Be The One' 03. Katy Perry feat. Skip Marley - 'Chained To The Rhythm' 100% girl-power top 3 this week *.* (well... in terms of lead artists as Skip Marley has wormed his way in there too :kink:) Little Mix still at the top with 'Touch' as that has become one of my absolute favourite singles of theirs. 'Be The One' is one of Dua's finest efforts as well. When she is good, she is SO good. This, 'Last Dance', 'Hotter Than Hell' and 'New Rules' are honestly all 10/10 for me. I was elated that 'Be The One' managed to reach the top 10 in the end after the underwhelming reception the first time round. Who knew such great things were around the corner for her next... *.* 'Chained To The Rhythm' was a really good start to the 'Witness' era, loved the promotional campaign too with the disco balls hidden in outdoor locations. Oops at how 'Witness' would pan out after this single. 2013 01. Disclosure feat. AlunaGeorge - 'White Noise' 02. Bingo Players feat. Far East Movement - 'Get Up (Rattle)' 03. Avicii vs. Nicki Romero - 'I Could Be The One' Here we have a 100% dance top 3 *.* I always think of 2014 as the year where dance was super dominant in the chart, so I forgot quite how many club tunes were placing in the top 10 the year before too. Gosh Disclosure's first era was SO GOOD. 'Settle' is one of my favourite albums of the decade. I'm so glad that 'White Noise' became such a huge hit after 'Latch' couldn't quite crack the top 10. The sophomore album was still quite good but not quite hitting the highs of the debut. Hope the third album can be a triumph. 'Get Up (Rattle)' and 'I Could Be The One' are then both bangers with memorable videos! Particularly the former, those ducks  2008 01. Basshunter - 'Now You're Gone' 02. Nickelback - 'Rockstar' 03. David Jordan - 'Sun Goes Down' 'Sun Goes Down' was such an idiosyncratic chart hit (I remember playing it in the car fairly recently and my mum asked if it was from Eurovision ) and I imagine generally forgotten these days. I still absolutely love it though! What a one hit wonder David Jordan turned out to be. (the relevancy of an album track of his popping up in BJSC tho *_*) 2003 01. Eminem - 'Lose Yourself' 02. Justin Timberlake - 'Cry Me A River' 03. Oasis - 'Songbird' Oh I guess we've been in a post-Britney/Justin world for a little while now then. 'Cry Me A River' is one of Justin's best efforts for sure! The whole 'Justified' era was golden. I wish he was still making music as good as that album now. I do quite like 'Filthy' though. Then we have a nice little (emphasis on little - such a short song!) Liam-led Oasis song written for his All Saints flame at the time. Very easy listening. 1998 01. Robbie Williams - 'Angels' 02. Celine Dion - 'My Heart Will Go On' 03. All Saints - 'Never Ever' I am not usually one for power ballads but I have a huge soft spot for 'My Heart Will Go On'! Maybe because I was such a big fan of Titanic as a teen  I love the gorgeous instrumental more than anything really. The nichole337 version is of course iconic in addition *_*
February 16, 20188 yr Personally this afternoon I'm just waiting for Buzzjack's reaction to the BlocBoy JB feat. Drake song. *__* That to chart as high as possible please. Let me pre-emptively say yasss what a banger because I doubt there'll be any other positive reactions :magic: I think I like 'Look Alive' even more than 'God's Plan', Drake is killing it this year so far (I'm choosing to ignore that Migos song x) Tuning in for the first half hour of the chart before I have to head off, hope there is some interesting stuff at the tail end of the chart this week ~

February 16, 20188 yr 'I Could Be The One' is still such a banger  One of my favourite dance songs of recent years.

February 16, 20188 yr plz no it's not intolerable like HBTR was but it's basic af Hold Back the River is like the exact opposite of intolerable tho x
February 16, 20188 yr The lower half of that 2013 top 10 looks absolutely deathly dull tbh (minus Bingo Players and to some extent Calvin Harris but that's one of his more dated songs). Top 5 is a bit better although I don't care at all for 'I Could Be The One'. The current top 10 is much better overall for me x
February 16, 20188 yr Liam and his 2nd top 10, Spotify is blocking him from top3, sad Edited February 16, 20188 yr by Rafael x
February 16, 20188 yr 10 years since Mercy was #1?! :o Still one of my favourite songs of all time
February 16, 20188 yr 40 35 17 NF Let You Down Perception | 2017 Chart Run NE (02/11/2017) | 40-27-24-23-19-16-13-11-10-25-10-6-9-13-15-35-40 Information Released: 15th September 2017 Label: Capitol Records Chart sales: 400k+ Certification: Gold Status: Accelerated Chart Ratio 12 Sales 09 Streaming Video fbHbTBP_u7U Biography NF is the stage name of rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein from Gladwin, Michigan. Feuerstein endured a hardship-filled childhood in which his parents divorced, his mother's boyfriend physically abused him, and his mother eventually killed herself. Music was his escape, and he began recording songs on a karaoke machine, with instrumentals on one microphone and his raps in the other. Placing second in a nationwide Fine Arts Festival rap competition in 2008, and first in Michigan the following year, he independently released a debut album, Moments, in 2010. The album attracted the attention of Xist Music, which signed him to a recording deal in 2012, by which time Feuerstein had taken on the stage name NF. The label announced the release of an EP that same year, but it never appeared, and NF and Xist parted ways. NF spent the next two years looking for a label and working with local producer Tommee Profitt in his studio; they came up with the song "Wake Up," which convinced Capitol Christian Music Group to sign him. CMG released a six-song (including a Manny Marroquin remix of "Wake Up") self-titled EP late in the summer of 2014. His debut album, Mansion, was released in early 2015 and reached number 62 on the Billboard 200 while topping the Christian Albums chart. The aptly titled Therapy Session followed in 2016 and also topped the Christian Albums chart with its raw emotions and honest lyrics. The following Summer saw the release of the singles "Outro" and "Green Lights", in anticipation of the arrival of his third studio long player, Perception, whch dropped later that October. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2017 06 Let You Down -1- Social Media http://i.imgur.com/sx7weFD.png http://i.imgur.com/P4ObJLe.png http://i.imgur.com/TUafYW0.png http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
