Why does post Malone get a 2 * (if you as starting to trade singles well that's a bit generous)

Because it would look exceptionally confusing in his discography otherwise :P Anyone not in-the-know would assume Go Flex was single 1 of Beerbongs & Bentleys and Psycho was single 2. It's not the first time we've had to do this.

Biography

Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) better known by the stage name Drake, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape, Room for Improvement. He released two further independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.

Drake released his debut studio album Thank Me Later in 2010, which debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases were 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, with certifications of quadruple and triple platinum respectively in the U.S.; the former also earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. They were followed by two mixtapes - the trap-influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late, and a collaboration with Future for What a Time to Be Alive, in 2015, with both earning platinum certification in the U.S.

Drake released his fourth album, Views, in 2016, breaking several chart records in the process. The dancehall-influenced album sat atop the Billboard 200 for ten nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a solo male to do so in over 10 years. Its single "One Dance" topped the chart in several countries, including the U.S., the UK and Canada, where it became his first number-one single as the lead artist. This saw Drake leading the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously for eight weeks, coming close to a record held by Whitney Houston. It achieved quadruple platinum status in the U.S., and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release. The single "Hotline Bling" secured him his second and third Grammy win, for Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song, at the organization's 59th ceremony.

Drake released the multi-genre More Life in 2017. Described by Drake as a playlist, it was his seventh consecutive number one on the Billboard 200, and set multiple streaming records.

Drake owns several Billboard chart records. He has the most charted songs (154) among solo artists in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week (24), and the most Hot 100 debuts in a week (21). Drake also has the most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts. Alongside his Grammy Award wins, Drake has won three Juno Awards and six American Music Awards.

Drake has developed other ventures, including his OVO Sound record label with longtime collaborator Noah "40" Shebib. Drake acts as a producer, producing under the pseudonym of Champagne Papi. Using the "OVO" moniker, Drake has his own clothing line and his own program on Beats 1 Radio. He is also currently acting as the global ambassador for NBA franchise, the Toronto Raptors. - Wikipedia

Biography

Pop singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor had already devoted most of her life to music when she scored her first hit in 2014 (when she was 20 years old) with a dance-friendly paean to body positivity, "All About That Bass." Born in December 1993, Trainor was raised on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts, where she began making music when she was just seven, and wrote her first song at the age of 11. Trainor attended high school at the Nauset High School on Cape Cod; there she sang and played trumpet in the jazz band, and also studied guitar, taking lessons from Johnny Spampinato, noted guitarist with NRBQ and the Incredible Casuals. In addition, Trainor played guitar and keyboards, and sang with a local Nantucket band called Island Fusion for four years. She attended the Berklee College of Music's Performance Program, a special five-week course, in 2009 and 2010, receiving high marks and reaching the finals of their songwriting competition. By the time she was 18, Trainor had self-released three albums of her own material and landed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music (who placed her songs with artists such as Rascal Flatts, Macy Kate, Common Kings, and Sabrina Carpenter) before she signed a deal with Epic Records.

Trainor's first single for Epic was "All About That Bass," in which she proudly declared she's "no stick figure silicon Barbie doll," and "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top." The pastel-colored video for "All About That Bass" became an online sensation, racking up over 1,600,000 views on YouTube within a month of its debut in June 2014. Soon, "All About That Bass" stormed up the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the pole position not only in the U.S. but throughout the world. As it racked up eight weeks on the top of the U.S. charts, it wound up getting certified five-times platinum, selling over four million copies in America alone; international sales reached over six million, cementing "All About That Bass"' status as one of the biggest singles of 2014. In comparison, its sequel, "Lips Are Moving," paled, but it was still a notable hit, reaching four on the Billboard charts and earning double-platinum certification, setting the stage nicely for the January 2015 release of Trainor's debut, Title. The album promptly hit number one in multiple countries. Her third single from the album, "Dear Future Husband," reached number 24 on the U.S. singles chart. A contribution to the Peanuts Movie soundtrack, a co-write on Rascal Flatts' single "I Like the Sound of That," and most significantly, a Grammy nomination, rounded out her impressive year.

A few weeks before the March 2016 release of "No," the first single from her second album, Trainor won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The following May, Trainor released her sophomore studio album, Thank You, which included the hits "No," "Me Too," and "Better" (featuring Yo Gotti). In 2017 she released the single "I'm a Lady," which appeared in that year's computer-animated adventure-comedy film Smurfs: The Lost Village. - iTunes

Biography

Los Angeles-based electronic trio Cheat Codes debuted in 2015 with their single "Visions," a floor-filling, radio-ready bite of house in a vein similar to Avicii and Swedish House Mafia. Each of the group's three members -- Matthew Russell, Trevor Dahl, and Kevin Ford -- has deep roots in L.A., working on individual projects before joining forces for Cheat Codes (Dahl once performed as singer/songwriter Pluginstereo). Their different backgrounds helped inform Cheat Codes' stylistically varied sound, which can range from warm pop to outright big house bangers. After the release of "Visions," they quickly followed with the tropical-tinged "Don't Say No" (featuring Dresses), "Senses" (featuring Lostboycrow), and "Adventure" (featuring Evan Gartner). As they gained exposure on social media and spins on streaming services, they joined the Chainsmokers on tour. Successive singles continued to drop in 2016, when they unveiled a pair of global hits, "Sex" (featuring Kris Kross Amsterdam) and "Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)" (with Dante Klein). The following year they released their biggest feature yet, "No Promises" with Demi Lovato on vocals, and embarked on the No Promises world tour (taking them to the U.S., Europe, and Australia). They followed their Lovato hit with "Feels Great," which featured Fetty Wap and CVBZ. - iTunes

Looking like another #2 peak for Rudimental then, shame they didn’t perform at the Brits as that could’ve given them the #1

Bloodstream was also blocked from the top 3 years ago! What song(s) stopped them from getting a third #1 back then?

Aside: I'll fill in all of the skipped songs as soon as the chart becomes available, so the usual information posts will be edited in. I'll post again when it's done!

Further down, rising star Blocboy JB lifts three spots to 18 with Drake collaboration Look Alive, and British rapper B Young also cracks the Top 20 with Jumanji eight weeks on from its release, up six spots to 19.

Stormzy also re-enters at #35

The new Post Malone song isn't really hitting me too much so far :( Sounds catchy enough so it might grow on me a bit but this is probably the least instant I've found any of his singles so far.

Yass king Drake keep slaying etc.

It's Rita or Cheryl fault Jess isn't number 1 they have a team streaming that drake track so she doesn't take the outright recordl
