Electricity is 3:43 instead of 3:58 so nothing massive

It’s 4:20 on the physical version of Dua Lipa’s album

In other news, NOW NOW has debuted at #2 on the compilation chart, kept off by Dreamboats and Petticoats. I was expecting that to go straight to #1 what with all the hype about it. I reckon it could climb to #1 next week as there’s no major compilations out today

Nah a second week for Dreamboats is pretty much confirmed.

It's only 9.99 in HMV and it's the perfect CD for the audience who are buying their Christmas shopping early etc..

Sold loads of that today!

The Power of Love is not a Christmas song, just a song that was released around Christmas time!

watch the Frankie Goes To Hollywood video from 1984, then say its not as christmas song !!!!

Listen to the lyrical content and then tell me where the Christmas connection is.

I just can’t believe “Baby Shark” wasn’t included on NOW 101. I was expecting it to be on there seeing as it’s on NOW Party 2019. If they squeezed it in, 101 would have broken two records: one for having the most tracks with 47 and the other for being the shortest song to appear on a numbered NOW, surpassing Eddie Cochran’s record for shortest song which appeared on NOW 11
Are they only doing 15-second ads now? Cannot find a 30-second version anywhere

Isn’t it getting an official single edit and a release at some point? Maybe they’ve been denied the rights until then?

If they’ve been denied the rights, then it wouldn’t be on NOW Party 2019. I never knew it was getting an official single release. I measured both discs and by the looks of it, the total lengths of all tracks measure up to 79mins on each disc which means that there was no space on either disc to include “Baby Shark”

Would anyone actually want to listen to Baby Shark though? I’d say the majority of people would just skip it straight up as soon as it came on, if not the first time it was played then definitely the second time through

That’s why if they ever included it to put it as the closing track on the second disc

Anyone interested we will be running through a listen of Now 101 on Wednesday 8pm on plug. Our listen throughs have nicely now coincided with its release this week so pop a long to hear the album in full and also play some tracks that missed the cut if you want to.
Disc 2 is honestly, the worst Now disc of all time, for me. Horrific.
NOW 99 and NOW 101's 2nd disc have been a bit naff really. So many rubbish rap songs! It should be based on the quality of the song and not the quantity of how many songs they can fit on a CD. There's so much good pop/rock out there that could easily replace these forgettable songs.

“Pray For Me” should’ve been at the end of disc 2 or not on there at all. At least 101’s disc 2 wasn’t as disastrous as 100’s disc 2

I expect it's more, 'hey, at least most of these songs charted'.

But rap/grime fans are probably extremely unlikely to ever buy a Now compilation so the inclusion of minor top 30 hits that only got anywhere at all because of streaming feels a bit redundant.

Then again, there's already quite a few non-top 40 hits on this edition, and Now is supposed to be a hits compendium so it's a bit of a catch 22 situation for the compilers.

NOW 101 has only sold 82,507 this week. That is the second worst first week sales since NOW 33 in Spring 1996 but this is worse as it’s nearly Xmas. Also if the compilation chart didn’t exist, it would have only got #2 on the album chart which is bad for a numbered NOW. NOW 100 sold more than double the amount in its first week despite its disastrous tracklist

I reckon there’s a good few people who stopped collecting the series after 100 hence why it’s down. There’s even a few on here who said they’ve stopped.

I’m one of them. Only got 100 because of what it was.
