He has very rarely left the top 100 with One Dance iirc.

Despacito is also very close to coming back to the top 50. We need another latin crossover for summer 2018 instead.
I think the Cardi B song 'I Like it' will be just that, gonna be big I reckon.

I'd say "She Loves Control" by Camila Cabello is more likely (in the same vein) but I think what they were meaning (I might be wrong) was a huge latino song reworked for English speaking market a la "Despacito" (Remix). Have there been any monster latino hits in Latin world over the past few months? Did that new Enrique track about the bathroom do anything?

Zara Larsson is supposed to be featuring on a remix of one of CNCO's songs for a global push, I think it could be huge! Their new album is pretty much all I'm listening to right now.

There are thousands of latin massive hits worldwide every month, you only need to look as the most watched videos on Youtube every week or top 50 global playlist on Spotify. UK still seems to be one of the few countries reluctant to listen/play them.

 

The current biggest Spanglish/Latin hits are among others:

 

Nicky Jam/J Balvin - X

Sofia Reyes/Jason Derulo - 1,2,3

Daddy Yankee - Dura

Reik/Ozuna/Wisin - Me Niego

Wolfline - Bella

Luis Fonsi/Demi Lovato - Echame La Culpa

 

I can't see any of these becoming hits in the UK though.

 

CNCO x Zara or Camila are probably the only ones I can see becoming big hits in the UK too. Even then She Loves Control is pushing it really... unless she shoves Luis Fonsi etc. on it

 

Edit: Or if Justin Bieber, Drake, or Ed Sheeran are added to English versions of any of the above singles :lol:

It’s listed for release 18th May but that’s according to Wikipedia :lol:
