I actually love this album so much. It's fearless and I keep discovering things the more I listen, like the theme of bruising and damaged bodies throughout :o

I'll give the highlights another listen and vote after that because I have too many choices atm :(

So hard to choose !!! What an amazing bunch of songs .

1. Ghosttown

2. Devil Pray

3. Hold Tight

Could have easily choose Joan of Arc , living for love , unapologetic bitch and heartbreak city.

Jeus, get out.

I've just listened to this (well my significantly cut down version of it) and it is so strong! I really don't know which to choose, Ghosttown and Queen are my definite stand outs but after that it could be any of Living For Love/Addicted/Devil Pray/Messiah/Rebel Heart/Hold Tight/Joan of Arc/Borrowed Time/Wash All Over Me

While I'm not a massive fan of this album it does have a few incredible songs on it. I think my top 3 are:

1. Ghost town

2. Living for love

3. Unapologetic bitch

The following also vies for the top 3 too:

- devil pray

- Joan of arc

I don't really like much of the rest tbh :(

A lot of songs to choose from - I was considering separating between standard and deluxe editions but I know people love songs between the two.

OMG where is Queen?

I just included songs that appear on the super deluxe, although I had forgotten about Queen anyway.

Ghosttown

Wash All Over Me

Messiah

Rebel Heart is fab too, but the demo is much better and should have been the lead single even if it was leaked early, Joan of Arc and Devil Pray are such a good melding of the classic Madonna sound and modern influences and HeartBreakCity is so very nearly amazing but some of the lyrics are 5th year GCSE music project worthy. Overall there is a very strong 10 track album in there (there is also an 8 track EP that should only be used to torture terrorists in lieu of waterboarding).

Agreed about the demo version of 'Rebel Heart' being the superior version. I like the final version but it leans a little too far into inoffensive MOR territory whilst the demo really got me excited for the era as it was the first song I'd heard.

Rebel Heart as an album definitely, for the most part, has a great combination of classic Madonna and modern sounds. I do quite like 'Holy Water' and 'SEX' but I'd without a doubt take more of 'Ghosttown' or 'Wash All Over Me' or 'Inside Out' over them. 'Iconic' and 'Veni Vedi Vici' are among my faves and I'm totally unapologetic bitch about that!

VVV is a song which has great elements and loads of potential, I love the chorus and the whole persona it tries to drum up but the verses and production are lacklustre. It's a solid album track for sure.
