I had such a love/hate relationship with "Judas" when it was released but it's now firmly in bop territory. It's in about the right position.
Judas is TRASH with a tinny Steps-lite chorus which is EMBARRASSING to listen to. So cheesy. It basically ruined her career.

So it turns out my spreadsheet has had a major error in it (not including certain scores that have been formatted in a way that the equation doesn't read). This means that the results haven't actually been totally accurate and it sort of breaks my heart to say that because I've poured a lot of time and love into the thread so far. I have decided to post the entire list as it should be (now it is 100% corrected and verified by other people) and then continue with the top 25 as it should be rather than continuing with "fake" results.

I'm so sorry and hope it doesn't tarnish this thread, which I have truly loved sharing with you guys :(

I'm a bad kid, but I KNOW wrong from right ~

Judas was good but a brave choice to release in the US. Having said that I still can't believe how thick people were not to be able to interpret the lyrics as being a metaphor :o

I'll be your everything, just touch me baby

| 24 // Government Hooker // Born This Way // 7.96

| 25 // Hair // Born This Way // 7.87

Two Born This Way tracks fall out (on the album's 7th birthday :cheer:). The first follows the theme of the album perfectly - Hair is anthem for loving yourself, believing in your identity and OWNING your fierceness. It was hyped as a big track before the album released, with high-profile celebs citing it as their favourite tracks and eventually it became the final promo single to be released, a few days before the whole album came. Written as a response to her own teenage years, where she was made to dress and act in a certain way, the song is rebellious but loving and insightful at heart. Gaga performed the song live on several occasions, and most notably for me was the bald performance on Paul O'Grady's talk show. The song, at that moment, became even more liberating and powerful than before and has resonated with fans ever since.

We also lose Government Hooker, a track borne out of work from DJ Snake, White Shadow, Garibay and Gaga. The song had a subtle, yet totally intriguing premiere at a Thierry Mugler fashion show in Paris, where Gaga made a catwalk debut herself. The song is about female sexual empowerment and uses Marilyn Monroe's sexual experiences to delve into this. Dark, zany and incredibly sexual, it's a fun song with explosive twists throughout. The song was the second to be sung at the Born This Way Ball, and it obviously introduced the sexualised, high-octane thunder that the rest of the show would take. Not to be taken too seriously, but with a deep message hidden underneath the bizarre lyrics, it's a brilliantly done pop song that can only really be executed by Stefani at her most sordid.

Don't worry, Bal! Glad you managed to notice your error before getting to the final trimester of results. Pleasing rises for "Speechless" and "Joanne", amongst others.

"Government Hooker" was my second lowest ranked song from 'Born This Way' - I'm surprised to see it higher than "Americano" and other bops from that album. "Hair" is Gaga at her cheesiest but I can't help but love it.

Yay at Judas not being out after all.

Commentaries brilliant as always Bal! x

Hair is good *.* not heard GH in ages tbh

Yay for Judas being higher too and don't worry Bal these things happen dont beat your self up about it <3

I approve of the changes tbh because they've boosted 'Electric Chapel' by 5 places.

'Hair' and 'Government Hooker' were both such love at first listen MOMENTS *.* can't believe the Born This Way album is 7 years old now :o

I'm aiming for full control of this love

| 23 // G.U.Y. // ARTPOP // 8.02

The third single from ARTPOP, G.U.Y. is Gaga's worst performing single to date, but it's done fairly well considering on here. Produced by Zedd, it's a song about sexual dominance, submission, and gender roles. The music video, a return to huge long epics, saw Gaga alongside The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, enacting revenge on the men that have wronged her, and combined Greek mythology with modern day celebrity culture. The song received mixed reviews from critics and fans, but for me it's one of the big highlights of the album - totally over the top and in your face, it's perfectly combines the industrial sound that Zedd provided throughout the album, with the character and humourous insanity that Gaga does so well. The song is about a new wave of feminism, where you don't always feel the need to be on top all the time, or to be in charge or take control - instead she offers an alternate way of owning yourself and being comfortable and confident with being "underneath" or not feeling 100% because of inner strength and the worth that is possessed within. You don't need to be on top to be worth it, and this song didn't have to top the charts to be worth the absolute GOLD it provides. NEIN ZEDD ~

Uh-oh, there was a monster in my bed

| 22 // Monster // The Fame Monster // 8.07

Next out it's Gaga at her most monstrous. Once again delving into the problems of dating a bad boy, here Gaga embraces the dark side and keeps going back for more. Monster was rated as one of the best tracks on the EP by critics and fans and many were screaming out for it to be a single. A double meaning, her fear of sex and relationships and the literal meaning of a "guy with a big dick", it's explosive, dangerous and a hell of a lot of fun. The song was performed at The Monster Ball and while it garnered some negative press for it being a bit too close to home for homicide events that occurred in Bradford when she performed it, it remains a staple from the album and a huge fan favourite. It came full circle in her latest tour where she stated "Don't call me Gaga" before proclaiming we call her Joanne instead. It is a forever relevant song for her and her fans (the Little Monsters) and continues to sound massive and monstrous to this day.
