December 31, 20241 yr Just watched the I'm Tim documentary which has had its Netflix premiere today. It really is a wonderful insight into his life and him as a person, the music he wanted to make and so on.

January 4, 20251 yr It's a really fascinating watch, especially seeing how some of his biggest hits were made. Although it makes me so sad, as I still miss his presence in music so much. A DJ and producer who really got and understood the importance of melody, more than any other I have known. I found it very interesting how badly the likes of Wake Me Up and Hey Brother were received by the crowd at the Ultra festival when they were first performed, considering how popular and highly regarded they ended up being. I suppose this change in sound was just a shock to the system. I went to the Avicii Experience tribute museum in Stockholm last year, and it was very hard not to cry walking around, but absolutely worth going to. You can see his home recording setup, read about his life, hear early demos of his biggest hits (and play around with the mixing yourself) and all sorts of other stuff.
