Posted May 10, 20187 yr Summer 2018 is basically here already, and there needs to be a big summer smash for 2018 but who will deliver? Jax Jones might be due another new single but there’s no indication of one on the way yet. Martin Solveig ought to move on from the flop with Alma and try a new direction. Jonas Blue usually delivers a tropical house smash but it seems that his focus is on Alien still. Kygo may surprise us with a big name feature soon. Anybody else you would like to hear new music from this Summer?
May 10, 20187 yr Jax Jones and Martin Solveig are really due new singles soon I hope. ah yes MK too. Disclosure, been ages and they're meant to be off hiatus now!1 been ages since we've heard from deadmau5, Daft Punk, DJ Fresh, Gareth Emery, Eric Prydz and Porter Robinson (as himself) too. and of course I'd like to hear some new Avicii music before the year's end. :(
May 10, 20187 yr I have to say, nothing in dance is exciting me enough for me to say anyone right now - other than Avicii's unreleased material of course.
May 10, 20187 yr Daft Punk, DJ Fresh Last I heard DJ Fresh had "retired" from making new music New Daft Punk is very very very very overdue I'd love for some new old Zedd music, his latest stuff hasn't been terrible but I really miss the pre-2016 Zedd. Same goes for David Guetta a little bit. I know they're both actively releasing new stuff and are actually getting hits (Stay & The Middle becoming two of Zedds biggest hits) but their newer material is so vastly different from them at the best I feel like many people wouldn't realise that the same guy who created Clarity also made Get Low. Or the same French dude who gave us Sexy Chick released Light My Body Up
May 10, 20187 yr I think David Guetta† is slowly getting back on track now. Light My Body Up was so poor that the only way is up lol, but seriously his current trio of Flames, Mad Love and Like I Do are rather good, even if a lot of his past material is better. I've lost all hope for Zedd now after the abominations of Stay and The Middle. Shame. †or his ghost producers (allegedly!)
May 10, 20187 yr I still think the answer here is either 'never' or 'not for a long while'. They'd have to be real careful to not tarnish their legacy if they do anyway.

'Flames' and 'Mad Love' aren't dance, but they are both good enough songs!
May 10, 20187 yr Gesaffelstein (Ik he was just on The Weekend’s EP but proper stuff again pls) Daft Punk ofc SHM sort of, but I’m kinda scared whatever they release just won’t stand up to anything from Until Now :/ so idk

June 16, 20187 yr A lot of people mentioned DJ Fresh. He actually renewed his original label "Breakbeat Kaos" and released a single there. It's not a radio material tho NjqGEka6W_0
June 19, 20187 yr Kungs, Klingande or Klangkarussell! Klingande has been going downhill since Jubel & Punga. Though RIVER and Losing U are nice.
June 19, 20187 yr Does Gryffin still make music? I haven’t heard a thing about him(?) since Whole Heart, but I really loved that when it came out (tbh Dance music in 2016 was almost as good as Dance in 2014)
