May 10, 20187 yr No Madonna or Kylie! I take it the list is only for British/Irish acts, otherwise both would probably be here.
May 10, 20187 yr It annoys me how groups like U2 for example are here as a collective yet Coldplay are all split up. I know it's because some have solo careers whilst others don't, but it still feels strange :P
May 10, 20187 yr How old is Calvin Harris he joint with Adele in original list but not a young musician is that because he is over 30 If so how does Adele qualify she is 30 Never mind she counts because it's 30 or under so ed will top it next year Edited May 10, 20187 yr by 777666jason
May 10, 20187 yr Niall as the 2nd highest for One D is surprising with Zayn last too! :o Little Legends though
May 10, 20187 yr He's 34. Yeah I googled that when I answered my own question why Adele qualifies
May 10, 20187 yr Is there any reason why Winston is worth more than the other members of Mumford & Sons?
May 10, 20187 yr Is there any reason why Winston is worth more than the other members of Mumford & Sons? He's the only member of the band not over 30

May 10, 20187 yr How would Enya have made 5 million last year? No album, no tour, no special appearances, she isnt a merchandise seller either. Her back catalogue wouldnt be selling that strongly to net that income.
May 10, 20187 yr It doesn't say it's from music or media related - she could have just made some money on property or similar?
May 11, 20187 yr About royalties, the artists don't always get them straight away. They can sometimes have to wait up to 12 months to get royalties apparently. For example, some of the money Enya got during 2017 could have been from something that happened in 2016. Also, I don't think the royalties from streaming are very much. Enya might make more money from royalties via her songs being used in movies, TV shows, adverts, radio airplay, plays in restaurants and shops, etc. I'm not sure exactly, but I think that makes the artists more money from those kinds of things than from streaming. Except a special few cases like 6ix9ine for example. For example, Zedd - The Middle might be making a lot more money than some bigger hits right now, because it's being used in an advert (and does better than average on radio as well). I'm surprised Zayn is the poorest out of the One Direction members. What is he doing with his money? He should probably be the richest. We will probably be reading newspaper articles in 30 years time about how he's broke and living on the streets lol. And why wouldn't Jessie J have £18 million? I would have expected slightly higher, if anything. (Also, a bit of a tangent, but I like Enya. Why does she have this reputation for being boring? People like Sinead O'Connor and Annie Lennox are what I would consider boring). Great to see Mick Jagger has made so much money off the back of T.H.E! :) Edited May 11, 20187 yr by Eric_Blob
May 11, 20187 yr you clearly haven't listened to sinead o'connor's 1st album is you consider her boring enya is not considered boring, it's considered adult music, that's not the same
