Urgh I knew that streaming would destroy the eurovision songs :manson: They didn’t even play SuRie on the Big Top 40

The Big Top 40's methodology has changed and the top 10 is no longer the iTunes top 10 it would seem (see: Ariana being #1 this week). SuRie wasn't in the entire top 40 - maybe next week!

Beach House hopefully heading for another top 20 debut like their last two albums *.*

Technically not true since Thank Your Lucky Stars was released shortly after Depression Cherry with much less hype & fanfare and didn't even make the top 100. Shame as it's one of their best. Go "7" though :cheer:

Wonderful to see Charlie Puth on track for a second top 10 album.

I never knew Magic Numbers were back and releasing an album, it looks that it wont be make too much of an impression on the chart.

Considering the sales climate, Arctic Monkeys are selling strong.

Another steady week for Kylie, it would be wonderful if she can maintain this for a few weeks to come.

Ideally at least 1 Eurovision track can stay on the chart but streaming as it has done so in the last 2 years makes it very difficult.

To be fair, the last Magic Numbers album in 2014 got to #57 in 2014, so their new one seems to be doing much better.

Oh my god that’s super underwhelming for Arctic Monkeys! I guess they will go above 100k in a week but we could expect so much more from them.

Tbf Ed Sheeran aside when was the last time any album crossed 100k in a week (minus the now collections  )

Do the Now albums really cross 100k in a week? :o

Amazing that Shawn looks safe to finally peak top 10!! Would love if he could get top 5 at some point.

Yes they do. Last NOW I remember which failed to do so was NOW 33 in 1996 and that was during a time when album sales were big

Yes the the main ones do (spinoffs don’t) it was a big deal a couple of months ago the last one now 99 only doing 114k lowest for 22 years which was now 33 as already pointed out

good opening sales for the arctic monkeys looking at possibly 100K?
I'm sad that the Shawn Mendes song doing well is In My Blood, which is okay, rather than Youth, which is excellent.

How many copies did Now 33 sell in its first week? I've looked at the charts analysis by Alan Jones for the week it entered at number 1 on the Compilations Chart (30/03/96) but he didn't give any sales for the album in his Music Week report.

IMB is the official single, 'Youth' is just an instant grat for now...

It was in the chart analysis the week that Now! 99 charted.

Now! 33 sold 75,182 copies the week it was released in 1996.

Cheers Doctor Blind! I must have overlooked that part of the chart analysis for sales of Now 99.

Anyone know where Years & Years 'If You're Over Me' is in the mid-weeks?

nice to see this in the top 40 even if it's for a sad reason
