Exactly.

I Am.

and yet you seem happy to destroy British business and lives to achieve that......

Some might see that as the work of someone is very much NOT as patriotic as they claim to be.

Sorry for the shouty upper case, I know it bugs you, oops! :P

You know that is a falsehood, for the simple reason you know I do not share your pessimistic assessment of Brexit.

...and that is a falsehood because you have more or less accepted that the people who provide the evidence (that's the Tory government and their own studies) show exactly the opposite and none of them say anymore that we will be better off. None. They are all going for the "just doing what the voters said" or "it was always about a principle" feeble excuses, forgetting the lies.

But please fell free to show what has gone really well so far, and how organised all of your fellow-Leavers are, and give us some examples of all the fabulous deals that are coming any minute now.

2 years so far, plus a dozen years to prepare.

'Just doing what the people voted for, i.e. Brexit, *is* all that matters!

This “will of the people” farce needs to be fired into the sun along with everyone who utters those f***ing words
'Just doing what the people voted for, i.e. Brexit, *is* all that matters!

Not when they voted for lies and promises that wont be delivered. We deserve a vote based on facts. It's not democracy if it's proven to be based on lies and corruption.

You say that as if it's never happened before...

That's not a valid argument for something. That's a valid argument for getting rid of democracy and swapping to lies to gain and keep power.

I must say I totally expected the EU to completely change it's mind on May's utterly brilliant innovative ideas about letting the UK have access to the Single Market for as long as it wants using Northern Ireland as an excuse, and without having to accept any of the 4 principles of belonging.

SO shocked that the EU have remained stubbornly repeating the same thing since long before the referendum. You know, that campaign where we were assured that they would roll over and give us everything we demanded because they'd lose sales on cars made in Germany.

Who Knew?!!

Suddenly Boris' Hard Brexit pleas make sense. He totally said there would be no Hard Brexit, said it would benefit the economy, and that NI wouldnt be a problem at ALL. Totally did say that.

Johnson says we we still be able to buy homes, live, work in the EU and have access to the single market.

and the whole list of lies...

Liars gotta lie. it's what they do. A politician who is incapable of telling the truth should be banned from holding office. Three strikes and you're out. That's a very Trump policy which would have got rid of the whole lot of 'em. Of course they could say "I think" or "I hope" or "possibly" to avoid that, but then the lies wouldnt be as effective would they?

Just a thought.

That's not a valid argument for something. That's a valid argument for getting rid of democracy and swapping to lies to gain and keep power.

It *is* an argument for not singling out England as the world's bad guy though.

Pointing out truth and facts is not singling England out as the worlds bad guy. It's singling out rabid flag-wavers who forget truth and facts and blame everyone else for our own messes.

Some top notch Brexit banter on Love Island this evening, with one contestant asking "Does Brexit mean there won't be any more trees", which is the 2nd biggest non-sequitur conclusion to a statement that I have ever seen in my life.

The number one was when I was in America, with the conversation going something like this:

AMERICAN - Are you from Ireland?

ME - Yes, I am.

AMERICAN - You must love death metal then.

maybe they thought Ire-Land was the land of the constantly angry and associated that with Death Metal..

Liars still gotta lie....

Barnier is trying to break up the United Kingdom. He’s not carrying out these negotiations in good faith and it’s time for Mrs May to stand up to him."

"James Chapman Retweeted Nigel Farage

No. The profound threat to the Union if Brexit proceeds was set out clearly before the referendum by many people including John Major and Tony Blair, who went to Derry to speak about it. You and your ilk dismissed it as Project Fear. It’s on you and the Brexiteers, nobody elseJames Chapman added,"

meanwhile in the papers tomorrow...

It’s all about Putin. It always was. Brexit, Trump, fake news, ‘populism’, the normalisation of racist lies. Destabilising the West was alway’s Putin’s only chance of avoiding Yanukovych’s fate & hanging on to all the cash he’s stolen. Sunday Times required reading tomorrow.James O'Brien added,"

Yeah, nothing to see here....

I saw the 2 journalists on Newsnight that has become a central theme of Brexit liars. I could tell Oakshit was lying through her teeth at the time and wanted to throw something at the TV in frustration. Calm Cadwallop'er just smiled in disbelief, almost as if she knew something about lying Oakshotherself and the lying millionaire funder of the lying Leave-EU campaign and their links with lying Farage, lying Trump, lying Assange and the lying Russians they met up with.

Obviously they are trying to make the whole issue about how her copies of banks emails found their way into the public domain and The Guardian/Observer, rather than the fact that a journalist sat on concrete information that should have been handed over to the authorities.

Typical of all people who scream "FAKE NEWS!" when confronted with actual fact news......

So Arron Banks, the biggest financial contributor to the Leave campaign, has pulled out of a Newsnight interview on the subject of Russian interference in the referendum. Still, to his credit, he has agreed to be interviewed elsewhere. By Farage.

Among the allegations against Banks is a claim that he met a Russian "diplomat" suspected of being a spy. Remember those ludicrous allegations about Corbyn supposedly meeting a Russian spy? Despite the fact that the information Corbyn supposedly passed on was either available to anyone reading a UK newspaper or information highly unlikely to be known by a backbench opposition MP, the allegations got widespread coverage for days. The allegations against Banks are not getting anywhere near the same coverage. Anyone surprised?

I'd add LBC gave them 25 minutes propaganda with no alternative view (ie facts) allowed, then when the woman behind the research calls in to the show (having been denied an appearance to express her point of view) this happened...

"@icklepickle

Replying to @carolecadwalla @Nigel_Farage

Carole Cadwalla cut off by Nigel Farage when calling into his radio show on LBC following his interview with Arron Banks & Andy Wigmore @carolecadwalla "

No nothing to see here at all. What do you call it when someone is afraid of facts and attempts to block them?

I call it "guilty".

Completely OT, but why has the 'Tory Lies & Deceit' thread been closed (as @ 10.45am this morning)?

Presumably not because people here think they've turned over a new leaf...
