2-0 at home to your local rivals a great result!? Just shows how far you have fallen really.

The idea that Solskjaer can turn this around is something else imo. I don't even think your squad is that bad, it's just I have no idea what you are trying achieve and clearly too many players who are either angling for a move away or are just plain inconsistent. That's what the beauty of Solskjaer is right now, he will get time because he is a Man Utd legend. Dunno how long he will get though before the knives come out, maybe a season at best. There's only so long you can blame the players..

Obviously that was a tongue-in-cheek comment, it's not great but losing 2-0 to statistically the best PL team ever with 11 players who didn't even want to be out there - I personally was expecting a scoreline similar or worse than against Everton.

Also how can it not be the players? How can the same group turn into world-beaters immediately after Mourinho left then the minute Ole gets the job fullt-ime down tools again? I'm not saying it's lack of ability as clearly they've shown they possess that but it's all down to attitude. We've basically turned into Chelsea, when the players fancy it we're a threat, it's just that right now they cba and this is why we have to get rid of the worst offenders. Same team, 3 managers - time to stop blaming the latter really.

Roy Keane was class on sky earlier - G Nev was defending them and he kept saying - 2 shots on target?? That's good?

Pretty sure G Nev has just lost all hope now, he was saying some daft things. Always love Keane as a pundit he absolutely roasted Pog last night

Also I'm absolutely howling at Pogba making the PFA team of the year, the utter outcry from rival fans has brightened up my morning!

Did anyone think at the start of the season that Wolves would potentially be heading for European football?

Not me, but looking at how it completely screwed up Burnley's season this year I'd think they'd do well to actively avoid it! Don't have a big enough squad, just a solid starting XI...
Depends how they spend in the summer if they will do a Burnley next season. They have certainly been one of the best promoted sides of the Premier League for a while.

And in yesterday's derby Alexis Sanchez only got on the ball once in 12 minutes.

Here's what my team of the year would be

Ederson

Doherty Van djk Vertonghen Robertson

Wjnaldum Fernandino Bernardo Silva

Sterling Aguero Mane

Difficult leaving out Son and Hazard as well tbh.

What's everyone else's?

I'd switch Wijnaldum for Eriksen but can't really argue against any of the others.

I'm not sure why people were getting so worked up over Son & Hazard missing out? The only places they could take are in the front 3 and you can't make any case at all for taking Mané or Sterling out of the team. Even then, Salah would be my next pick before Hazard (who's inconsistent) & Son (who only turned up in January).

Eriksson is a good shout too problem I had with him is fitting him into a team with thre midfielders and three upfront as he's hard to place. Suppose deeper is better for him as he's never been prolific at goal getting!
I also think Hazard is the best player in the division talent wise and will likely be at Madrid next season.
Wolves were always the one team promoted last season that were almost certain to avoid a relegation fight, but they have done a good deal better than that.

You turned in to world beaters for a game or two at most! Throughout that run of form you massively over exceeded on your expected goals and under exceeded on your expected conceded goals. All we're seeing now is that stat becoming true as it balances itself out more. Only my opinion of course, but stats in this capacity don't lie. I know Silas slated it earlier, but I'm a huge fan of xG. It shows the quality of chances you're creating and conceding, which therin lies the major problem. Will be interesting to see if Ole's form contines as 7 defeats in 9 Ole or Unbeaten Ole - I suspect it's somewhere between the two.

Neville has completely lost it, I think he's so wrapped up in his dislike for Liverpool that he forgets to engage his brain. Fairly certain after Mourinho was sacked he was heckling Mourinho.. now he's hecking the players saying there is no wat Mourinho could be that bad - what is it Gary?? I suspect it's a mixture of both, all crept in with a primmadonna culture through inflated wages for average players.

As for PFA team of the year - you could make a few cases either way. I think Wijanldum is unlucky as he has been Liverpool's best midfielder this year, but the players vote for it so it's no wonder some of the names get in. Pogba is laughable, he was fantastic for about 6 weeks and now has resorted to his usual level of shite!

No one connected to Liverpool would have thanked us if we had beaten Manchester City yesterday anyway, in fact the total opposite would have happened and they would have just ended up mocking us.

Imagine losing only 1 match all season, potentially getting 97 points, conceding the least goals, being 7 points clear of your nearest rivals in early January, scoring so many late fluky match winning goals and still needing to depend on your most bitter rivals to help you win the league. Jamie Carragher even wore a Man United shirt

"World beaters" is hyperbole yes but we beat Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea & PSG all away and even "the almighty" Liverpool shat their pants when they came to our place. But yet every single one of those was a fluke was it? This is why xG is a poor metric imo. We're not even taking shots in games atm so it's no surprise it's more parallel now.

Yes we'd have mocked you regardless, this is why the last 6 years have been great fun for us all!

Yep that could easily happen and it will be frustrating, just like some random italian bloke popping up with 2 late goals and a club legend slipping. But while it might be frustrating for a few days, the reality is we're a bloody good team right now. We'll be there or thereabouts for the next couple of years whilst this team is at its peak, just like City will as well.

PSG was the biggest fluke going! Almost as flukey as Jordan Pickford deciding he wanted be superman in the 95th minute!

Well Liverpool shouldn't moan about yesterday's result then. In those 6 fun filled years we've won more trophies than Liverpool.

Liverpool only have themselves to blame for not being good enough to stay at the top of the table. Liverpool are a more glamorous version of Tottenham, nearly men who can't get the job done when it comes to winning silverware.

Well I'd agree, but I also love football. I want to win silverware and we've been desperately unlucky in some finals bar Sevilla, but I still feel positive. Liverpool have a fantastic team and setup behind them. I enjoy at least knowing my team can compete at an elite level right now. I look forward to our games and there is a real buzz around the stadium all the time now. Reality is we're likely to win a league title before Man Utd are in a position to challenge again. Enjoy the Europa League!

😂 I can't believe Liverpool are being compared to Spurs - both big English clubs indeed but Liverpool are the English team to have had most success in the leagues history. There's a great vibe now is right but we also have one of the greatest histories in the English game.

I think technically, Manchester United are the bigger club now. Certainly they have more league titles than us. I'm not sure where the Spurs comparison comes from either really, probably both that we have great managers, develop our players, good structure behind the scenes and play entertaining football!

I'd certainly rather be Spurs or Liverpool right now, have to respect the Potch as he has manouvered Spurs into that big club position that they weren't in 10 years ago which is an achievement in itself.

They've won more leagues and fa cups than Liverpool but I'd take the two extra European cups anyday over them.
