To win the group we need to score more against Panama, I do feel we are going to draw against Belgium, that will be our big game. Unless Belgium f*** up big time at some point

Panama did have half chances in the match against Belgium. They are better than Saudi Arabia.

 

I can see Belgium beating us possibly in the final group match. I wouldn't start Alli or Sterling in the next match, they were poor.

Well thank God for Kane. Bet Tunisia feel bad the one time they didn't shove him to the ground and get away with it, it costs them :D

 

Frustrating in places and wonderful in others as pretty much per usual for an England game, but we certainly played the best I'd seen them in years and it was definitely the right result for how shoddily Tunisia played. Should be very good to go through now providing it doesn't go to our head (hmmmm).

Well... it's the truth so... It's not a terrible attitude to be cocky when it's probably justified.

 

Panama are a bit outclassed here. If we play like we did for most of this match then we shouldn't have any trouble, giving away penalties notwithstanding. The Belgium game is the difficult one. It might be that Panama get lucky but in most cases we should win.

Thankful, as long as England and Belgium both win their second games the final match will only be about who wins the group.

Tunisia are probably the dirtiest and most disrespectful side I've seen in years - what a vile attitude to have!

Honestly that second half was so poor, but the problem was with the tactics. Tunisia had something to hold on to and they just played 11 men behind the ball, it's happens all the time in these types of games where the opposition is so inferior. I thought we needed to take a defender off on for a midfielder as we had plenty of the ball but a lack of players who can turn and do something.

 

Loftus-Cheek was bright when he came on. I thought Young was pretty poor, we would be better off with Rose there. Ah well, it's 3 points.. beat Panama and it's pretty much job done. The Germany defeat, probably makes finishing 2nd on paper more favourable for our group if Germany finish 2nd.

England's group is the last to finish so both teams will know how the draw has panned out.

I was happier about Iceland drawing than I am about England winning. My affiliations are being tested.

Put a bet on England getting 2-1 (amongst a few others, not all worked but lots did- never bet on anything before so this is kinda new for me)- ended up winning around £15 in all. :o

 

I was starting to think it was so typical of England to start strong, feck it all up and drag things out until it was a disappointing draw, so glad they pulled it back last minute.

It's a shame England had some pretty poor misses where they should have easily cleaned up because that should really have been like a 4/5-1 win. So many missed chances!!

 

Echo everyone else that it's the best England has played at a World Cup in quite some time. And it's about bloody time too! Panama should be fine, I don't think it's cocky to talk about a win expected. If England draws or loses, I would say that's pretty embarrassing really. The big test will be against Belgium, which should hopefully be a good watch!

It was so shocking and frustrating!! Dirty tactics from Tunisia but at least it was the right result in the end.

Was a good contest. England played really well and I like Southgate as a person, seems a good guy. Tunisia actually played a lot better than I expected them too, play the ball on the ground and did alright considering the players at their disposal. England deserved the win though and that should be them through to the knockout stages!

That was a GREAT moment. And we FINALLY have a player who can drag us through games, haven't had one for so so long at the big tournos.

 

We were lucky as hell though but we were due some at long last. The game panned out exactly as I had expected, we come flying out the blocks, should have been 3 or 4 up. They get a soft as f*** goal & all of a sudden we're on the backfoot. The whole second half was pitiful & completely like we played at the last Euros. At least he got the subs right, Lingard & Alli were both very poor & as for Sterling he was a complete & utter embarassment.

 

And we certainly should NOT get cocky ahead of Panama. May I remind you all of USA, Algeria & Costa Rica in the last 2 WCs, all teams we should have "easily beaten".

Rashford would start every match for me as well as Cahill as one of the back three instead of Walker!
